Sun – Didn’t go to SS or church. Kids were loaded down with candy. Relaxed. Read paper. Gave Stan & boys haircuts. Bill H. came out with kids. Youngsters got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Hung outside. Folded clothes. Got dressed up. Carol babysat & Stan & I went to Pgh. Symphony concert at Civic Arena.

Tue – School. Took Harry & Ivan to Haines. Voted. Rested & ironed clothes. Fixed baked chicken & brownies & escalloped potatoes. Mom called. Stan voted. Went to bookmobile.

Wed – School. Hot lunch. Very foggy. Dad came out late. Baked pumpkin pies & made galumpkies. Went to K-mart & White Cross with carol. Elaine & Frank put on a puppet show.

Thu – School. Washed & folded & ironed clothes. Played cards with kids. Stan went to store.

1965

Sat – Took Bill for PSAT test. Took Carol & Harry to Dentist. Took Bill to work & went to store. Called Mom. Belt on sweeper broke. Got step stool & can opener (books).

Sun – Went to SS. Bill worked daylight. Read paper & relaxed. Washed my bedroom windows & put up storm windows. Fixed steak dinner. Read book “Late Liz”. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Hung out. Baked cake. Folded & ironed. Bill’s day off. Stan & I went to Gimbels. Bought him new suit and coat. Dad called.

Tue – School. Went to Haines. Fixed pumpkin. Went to vote. Got door jam & glass for Harry’s window. Made spaghetti. Baked pumpkin pies.

Wed – School. Washed windows in Harry’s room & bathroom. Put up storm windows. Went to school PTA board meeting. Stan & I took Bill to work & went to Haines. Fixed pumpkin.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Washed living room drapes. Cleaned living room windows & put up storm windows. Took Carol to G.M.G. Went to bank & Tops. Lost (-1/2).

Fri – School. Cleaned kitchen & bathroom. Went to store. Got ladder for stamp books. Made stuffed pork chops. Dave, Bill, Carol, Stan & I went to football game (Clairton 26 – TJ 25). Carol went to pj party.

Mon – School. Elaine stayed home. Washed clothes. Windy. Folded & put away. Carved pumpkin. Carol home late. Stan went bowling. Kids went trick-or-treat. Had 59 youngsters. Cut up pumpkin.

Tue – School. Carol & David stayed home. Went to PP clinic. Dad came out for Elaine. Eleanor called. Elaine went to travelogue “High Arctic”. Went to PTA. Sang for devotions.

Wed – School. Baked apple & pumpkin pies. Carol took pies to Beten’s. Went to store. Took Frank. He got notebook paper.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Cold. Hung diapers & sheets out. Changed beds to other side. Quilt delivered. Went to Tops (- ½ lb). Got Carol’s stockings.

Fri – School. Ironed & folded clothes. Moved bedroom furniture back. Carol went to ballgame (TJ 0 – Charleroi 27. Stan worked late. Watched TV special “Hans Christian Anderson”.

Sat – Cleaned house. Kids helped. Went to store. Baked cake. Washed clothes. Hung inside. Carol went to Jane’s. Bill to Ernie’s. Dad & Mary came out. Showed movies.

1967

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Big job with sore back. Hung outside. Rested & folded clothes. Stan went bowling. Carol babysat.

Tue – School. Ironed clothes & mended. Cleaned up house. Took Julie & Ivan to school parade. Took movies. Kids went around. Went to bookmobile & store. Stan, Carol, David home. 63 kids came.

Wed – School. Frank had hot lunch. Cleaned up Halloween stuff. Washed & set hair. Made meat loaf& cole slaw. Watched TV. Kids noisy. Took walk.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Hung inside. Finished & washed Carol’s sweater. Went to store. Left Elaine at shopping center. Went to Tops (+1).

Fri – School. Ironed, folded & put away clothes. Cleaned kitchen. Went to store. Stan took F,G,H to football game (TJ 20 – Charleroi 13). Bill H. came out.

Sat – Tired. Changed sheets. Cleaned upstairs windows & storm windows. Went to Sears to see Miss Janey. Bought Elaine coat. Went shopping to compare. Kept same coat. Bobby came out with friend Barbara.

Sun – Finished one mitten, started another. Played Twister. Hurried to clean. Bob & friend Pat came. Stayed for supper. Kids got baths. Carol & Elaine both got hair cuts.

Thu – School. Cleaned up house & scrubbed kitchen. Took Julie over school for Hallo. Parade. Kids got on costumes. Stan went bowling. Had nice pumpkin. Took Julie & Ivan around. 48 kids.

Fri – School. Washed clothes. Washed drapes. Washed windows & storm windows in bedroom & dining room. Went to bank & Krogers.

Sat – Stan had to work. Washed clothes. Went to Clabers, K-Mart & Sears. Ironed clothes. Dave & Elaine worked on holes in brick work. Stan worked on welding junction. Went to bed early.

Sun – Cool & wet. Baked pie shells. Tried cooking pumpkin pie in open pot. Stan worked on beams & mortar. Cleaned the windows in Ivan’s bedroom & hung drapes. Watch TV & kids got baths.

Sun – Went to SS. Carol, Ivan, Harry & I. Defrosted refrigerator. Started booties for Helen’s baby. Stan didn’t feel well. Relaxed & watched TV.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Baked cake. Took Harry, Frank & Ivan to dental clinic to get teeth cleaned. Folded & changed sheets. Went to store for order. Called Stella.

Tue – School. Frank had field trip (Ft. Necessity) Ironed clothes. Went to bank & Kroger. Had sore throat. Grace Pavelko called. Took Bill to work. Went to bread store & bookmobile.

Wed – School. Felt terrible. Sore throat. Cleaned out sweepers & sewing machine. Ladies came for Fuller Brush. Knitted booties.

Thu – School. Laura Dee came with dress for Ivan. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Eleanor came out. Took bill to work. Carol GMG. Went to TOPS. Was Queen (5 ½ loss)

Tue – School. Took Ivan & Julie to baby clinic. Julie got shot. Ivan got vaccination. Untangled string. Went to store. Got pictures & picked up Carol’s coat.

Wed – School. Washed clothes. Ironed for Monday & today. Baked cup cakes. Relaxed. Watched TV.

Thu – School. Gregory home sick. Washed hair. Got Halloween costumes out. Sewed. Washed dining room windows and put up storm windows. Carol went to play try out. Went shopping. Harry got sick.

Fri – School. Harry home sick half day. Washed clothes. Took Ivan & Julie to school to see kids parade. Very nice day. Took F, H, I to church party. Went to store. Gave Laura Dee treats.

Tue – School. Ironed clothes. Cleaned up house. Lady came about World Book. Went to bookmobile, store & bank. Bobby came out. Cut Mrs. Iames and my hair.

Wed – School. Went shopping at Penney’s & Kroger. Kids had hot lunch. Dad came out. Gave us tickets to War Game. Stan & I went. Terrible waste.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Baked cherry dessert. Started to bake cake Hurt back making beds. Ivan called Stan from work. He came home & went to store & fixed supper. Misery. Relaxed.

Fri – School. Felt terrible. Carol home to help. Greg home sick. Just lay around. Mrs. Iames came over. Carol went to football game (TJ 27 – Belle Vernon 0). Stan took Frank, Harry, Ivan & Julie to church Halloween party.

Fri – School. Went to middle school to exchange arithmetic book. Sewed Halloween costume and cleaned kitchen. Called Eleanor & Laura Dee. Went to Helen’s. Went to Caroline’s & Pap’s. Picked up projector.

Sat – Very cold. Kids cleaned. Went to bank & store. Baked rolls & cake. Washed clothes. Made cole slaw & fish chowder. Showed movies. Carol went to Ondiches.

Sun – Stan worked outside drilling holes & putting up beams. Worked on quince jelly. Gave kids haircuts. Washed heads. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Burned rubbish. Went to store. Stan went bowling. Fixed apples. Put them in Mrs. Iames freezer. Stan watched football on TV.

Sun – Didn’t go to SS or church. Stan work on driveway, drain pipe. Mrs. Bucik called & Laura Dee called. Had roast chicken. Had tooth ache.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Rain. Went to Laundromat to dry clothes. Exchanged Bill’s trousers. Went to Haines. Went to dentist (sinus trouble). Eve. doctored. Stan worked on new game.

Tue – School. Made piorogies & kapusta. Ironed & mended. Colder. Stan built fire, went to bookmobile and played his new game. Carol had cheerleading practice.

Wed –School. Hot lunch. Dad came out. Worked on upstairs storm windows. Whitewashed log in driveway. I cut out dress & sewed. Stan showed us his game. Stella, Bill & kids came out.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Hung indoors. Made soup, fried potatoes lunch. Did dishes. Took Ivan & Harry with me to K-mart. Grand Opening. Terrible crowd. Got Carol at cheerleading practice. Relaxed & ironed.

Tue – School. David home again. Cleaned bathtub & sink. Sewed me a half slip. Started Stan’s pjs. Called on phone for PTA. Went to bookmobile.

Wed – School. Hot lunch day. Washed clothes. Folded & ironed. Talked to Laura Dee about X-mas party. Watched TV.

Thu – School. Went to school for PTA. Elaine hurt. Took her to hospital for x-rays. Went to store & Clabers opening. Tops meeting at Pleasant Hills. I lost 4 ½. Called Dad & Mary Narvin.

Wed – School. Elaine still home. Drove Carol & kids to school. Went to Grants & Bartolottas. Made cherry cake with whipped icing. Made meat balls. Stan went to McKeesport dinner & meeting. Knitted.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Hung outside. Folded clothes. Baked cake for Valerie’s mother. Eve. Ironed clothes. Mended. Stan went to Engineer’s meeting. I called Laura Dee.

Mon – School. Ironed & mended. Lunch & cleaned up. Went to store & bread store. Ivan jammed push buttons. Man brought bulldozer for work in back. Relaxed in eve. Eleanor called.

Tue – School. Man worked machine in back. Smoothed out slag. Brought fertilizer. Busy day. Sewed Frank pajamas. PTA meeting. Devotions. Movies on safety.

Wed – School. Dad came out. Burned rubbish and brush. Left early. Crocheted and knitted. Stan tried out new driveway.

Thu – No school. Teacher’s institute. Washed clothes. Drove Carol to JoEllen’s. She went to Deep Creek for weekend. Ironed clothes. Mended. Sewed red plaid shirt for Elaine.

1965

Sat – Dad came out. Washed clothes. Pump didn’t work. Wrung by hand. Ironed. Kids got baths. Went to Dad’s for supper. Birthday dinner. Stan got Bill from work.

Sun – Went to SS. Cut out leaves for PTA. Stan worked on tile. Sorted clothes from Fuscaro. Watched TV.

Mon – School. Cold day. Turned furnace on. Cleaned house. Barbara Lauley stopped for leaves for PTA. Picked tomatoes & cabbage. Watched TV. Read. Got Bill from work.

Tue – School. Washed clothes. Drained water on floor (pump broke). Went to store. Baked cake. Went to PTA. Membership. Dr. Jack spoke. Poor attendance. Stan went to bookmobile and worked on abacus for Frank.

Wed – School. Hot lunch day. Ironed clothes. Baked cookies. Stan came home early. Took Plymouth to garage. Went to store. Deposited in bank.

Thu – No school. Teacher’s institute. Rainy day. Started Elaine’s winter cap. Elaine & I made pies. Went to McKeesport. Took storm windows to get fixed & impeller for washer. Went to TOPS. Last meeting. Went to Pleasant Hills.

Fri – No school. Knitted. Finished Elaine’s cap. Went to Haines for order. Stan went to see Mom. Watched TV. Got bath. Got Bill from work.

1966

Sun – Didn’t go to SS. Stan took Carol, Dave, Frank & Jo Ellen to ballgame. Pirates lost. Carol lost autograph ball. Frank got lost. Sad day. Cleaned bedroom.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Folded & changed sheets. Stan went bowling. Went to store. Stan home early. Gave him haircut.

Tue – School. Bill didn’t go. Stan took plane trip to Sylvania plant. Ironed clothes. Baked cookies, cake & meat loaf. Stan took carburetor on Ford to get fixed. I went to Valley PTA. Had devotions.

Wed – School. Hot lunch day. Headache. Baked bread. Knitted & mended clothes. Went to store & got Elaine cotton. Elaine planted seeds for experiment. Carol got class ring.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Hung outside. Damp. So hung some again inside. Ironed David’s gym shorts. Changed sheets. Gave Julie bath & took pictures.

Fri – School. Ironed & mended Put away. Made chocolate pie. Went down to school with Julie & Ivan. Went to bank & shopping. Got Elaine blouse. Dad called & he received birthday card.

Sat – Stan worked. Watch man put street light up. Cleaned house. Carol went to football game. (TJ 32 – Donora 6). Went to Haines. Carol went to Penny’s. Got new shirt.

1967

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Tried two new recipes. Folded & put away clothes. Stan went bowling. Went to store. Got clothes at Fashion Hosiery.

Tue – School. Ironed & put away. Got case of pop. Went to McKeesport to get clarinet. Cleaned out cupboards. Went to PTA meeting. Helped with membership. Dr. Shaffley spoke.

Wed – School. Frank home sick. Hot lunch day. Cleaned the cellar & burned rubbish. Made cookies. Watched World Series (St Louis 2 – Boston 1). Went to store. Stan put up shower rod & Elaine’s picture.

Thu – No school. Teachers institute. Harry sick now. Boys cleaned bedroom. Washed big wash. Hung outside then went to Laundromat. Elaine mopped cellar. Went to TOPS (0). Home early. Stan tired.

Fri – No school. Kids helped clean house. Rain. Picked up cake & ice cream & chairs. Carol went to football game Monesson 14 – TJ 9. Had Dad’s birthday party. All went well. Elaine big help.

Sat – Gave boy’s haircut. Washed heads. Went to store. Stan watched TV. Read magazines. Stan took Frank, Greg, Harry to Little League Banquet. Bobby H. stopped out. Carol went to Jane’s overnight.

Sun – Didn’t go to SS. Ivan sick. Stan & I stopped at Dad’s. Went on to Mom’s. Mary was there. Carol took Jane to Youth Sym. Wrote to Harold & Bill. Kids got baths.

1968

Wed – School. Washed clothes. Baked apple crisp. Read story. Stan worked on stones.

Thu – School. Sewed Elaine’s jacket, shirt & shorts. Stan went bowling. Watched TV and sewed. Rained and turned colder.

Fri – School. Went to bank & Grants. Finished Elaine’s jacket. Mrs. O., Carol, Jane & I went to football game. Cold. Elaine, Frank & Harry went too. (Clairton 18 – TJ 7)

Sat – Stan had to work. Cleaned the kitchen & bedroom. Washed clothes. Swept cellar. Went shopping. Carol went to wedding. Stan & I went to see Dad & his Pap. Took Dad his birthday present.

Sun – Fixed spaghetti sauce & straightened up. Marion & Don came. Jane O came up. Had nice dinner & nice visit. Watched TV. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Swept cellar. Sewed & knitted. Stan went bowling. Stan & I went to Sibyl. Took ride for gas.

Tue – School. Ironed clothes. Went to store. Baked cake & rolls. Wrote Bill. Tired. Lay down & then went to store.
