1979

Mon – Up early (-2 degrees). School. Showered & dressed. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Gas man came (too cold). Counselor called. Fell – cellar. Called Mary. Went to store. Got Stan bowling.

Tue – School (-7 degrees) Cleaned living room, dining room, etc. Made rice krispies dessert. Made mushroom soup, cheese soufflé. Called Eleanor & Shirley Zuber. Mended jackets. Cut Stan’s hair.

Wed- School. Stan picked up Dave. Snowed. Cut out & sewed dress & apron. Went to store. Guys shoveled driveway. Made spaghetti sauce.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Ivan got suspended – smoking. Finished sewing dress & apron. Made fire – last of wood. Stan went back to work in evening.

Fri – School. Ivan home. Greg came. Got crutches. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Dave stopped after Dr. Went to bank & store.

Sat – Stan worked. Slept later. Washed clothes. Ran sweeper. Made chili. Finished slipper socks. Elaine called. Called Bill – changed jobs.

Sun – Up early with Stan. Fixed sausage. Stan worked. Read paper. Wrote Lavina & Emily. Dottie McGlincy stopped. Played cards.

1980

Tue – School. Drove Frank to work. Went to bank & store. Put applications in at Hospital. Ivan worked. Bill H. called. Read “Young Pretender” by B. Cartland.

Wed – School. Worked on mail. Dave stopped. Brought Julie her record. Read.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Cut coupons. Read Barbara C. “ The Little Pretender”. Called Mary. Elaine called. Ivan worked.

Fri – School. Cleaned house. Went to Marion H. for books & store. Stan worked late. Read “ Maggie” by Kennedy. Marion home form hospital.

Sat – Up early. Washed clothes. Ivan worked. Dave stopped for lunch. Read “Grand Sophy” by Georgette Heyer.

Sun – Had bacon & eggs brunch. Read “Gathering at Greystone” by Bronte. Went to Kamperts. Kathy’s baby shower.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Planted tomato seeds. Swept & mopped. Baked cake. Marion called. Read “Puritan Bride”. Stan got call from Calif. (Tustin).

1981

Thu – School. Read diaries for Harry birthday versus. Washed clothes. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Stan worked 5-1.

Fri – School. Worked at Lawsons. Julie cooked left-over chili. Dave & Frank were here for supper Read. Stan worked 5-1. Stan got stuck with Volvo.

Sat – Worked at Lawsons. Had left over soup & stew. Stan worked 5-1. Watched TV. Knitted.

Sun – Worked half day at Lawsons. Snowed. Bill came with Greg’s taillight. Pkg’d it. Stan worked 5-1. Watched TV & knitted.

Mon – School. Worked at Lawsons. Julie went to dental clinic. Mix-up with Ivan & car. Carolyn’s Joe took Stan to work (5-1). Finished “Dawn Wind”.

Tue – School. Washed clothes. Went to store. Got Harry’s gifts. Ivan home early – slept. Stan worked 5-1. Read. Marion called.

Wed – School. Finished & typed Harry’s versus. Stan helped me wrap presents. Fixed fish. Stan’s Toastmasters cancelled. Snow. Read.

1982

Fri – School. Worked at Lawsons. Dave cooked supper. Stan got car inspected (last minute). Called Mary & Marion.

Sat – Julie & I both worked. Stan fixed left overs. Went to closing of Bartolotta’s Shop ‘N Save. Ivan had party here. Washed clothes.

Sun – Julie worked. I worked half day. Ivan left for Newport News, VA (job interview). Made sauerkraut & pork. Read.

Mon – School. Worked at Lawsons. Julie had left over sauerkraut & pierogis. Tired. Went to bed early.

Tue – Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Made chocolate cake & pot roast. Shoveled front walk. Dave & Dad shoveled drive. Buildt fire. Read. Bill stopped.

Wed – School. Julie home sick. Stan signed up. Made kapusta. Cleaned oven (ugh). Made manicotti. Marion called. Guys went to Toastmasters. Ivan got home.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Cleaned house. Read. Had left-overs. Got call from school (behavior). Went to store.

1983

Sat – Went home from hospital. Felt tired. Slept. Stan went to store & fixed supper. Marion & Mary called. (Don in hospital.) Relaxed.

Sun – Felt tired. Julie working. Stan fixed lunch & supper. (Thank goodness). Marion called. Took shower & read.

Mon – Snow. School at SC. Julie went to Pitt Dental. Fixed soup & roast lamb. Stan worked 4-12. Marion, Carolyn & Carol called. Rested.

Tue – Slept late. Julie didn’t go to school. Bad cold. Made soup. Stan went to store. Julie washed clothes. Read “Dragonwyck”.

Wed – Read. Julie went to SC. Cheilla, Helen & Judy came up. Had house coat & money. Rested. Eleanor called. Stan worked 4-12. Dave went to Toastmasters. Julie got things at Wendy’s.

Thu – Julie went to SC. Marion & Carol called. Read. Stan took me to K-Mart. Got thank you cards. Julie went to Kelly’s. Fixed fish & cauliflower. Called Pat Cocuzzi.

Fri – School. Snow (6 inches). Schools let out early. Washed clothes. Julie helped. Stan went to store. Julie baked cake & made cookies. Stan worked 4-12. Crocheted cap for Jeff. Marion called.
