January 29 - February 4, 1979-1983

1979

Mon – School. Julie home sick. Sholp came to get Stan. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Shoveled snow. Stan got brake pad – fixed car. Went bowling – late. Pro-Bowl.

Tue – School. Called Duq. Light, Eleanor & Marion Z. Read. Made fudge & lasagna. Went to store. Played cards.

Wed- School. Up early. Read. Called Eleanor & Marion John. Got letter from Harry. Worked on information for taxes. Stan & I went over taxes. Started knitting ballet slippers.

Thu – School. Up early to hear about school. Washed clothes. Marion & Bill called. Dave stopped (Dr.). Made fish, cabbage (good). Ivan had car. Worked on stripping for chairs.

Fri – School. Made cheesecake. Cleaned kitchen. Made kapusta. Went to store & bank.

Sat – Stan worked. Slept late. Washed clothes. Made cabbage crepes. Made Danish pastries. Dave came. Ivan & Julie got hair trimmed (Kamperts). Got food at Wendy’s.

Sun – Stan worked. Didn’t feel good. Laid around. Got one ring. Called Eleanor (not her). Made frozen fr. fries & steaks. Played cards. Went to bed early.

1980

Tue – School. Went to Beedles. Cleaned. Went to bookmobile. Got Ivan after detention. Ivan worked. Called Marion at hospital. Read.

Wed – School. Didn’t feel too good. Read. Ivan got called to work extra. Called Eleanor & Mary. Bill H. called. Marion in hospital.

Thu – School. Julie home. Washed clothes. Stan took car (Volvo) for inspection. Greg came for owners card (not here). Ivan worked. New books came.

Fri – School. Julie home. Took Ivan to work & stopped at store. Got Greg at Goukers & took to school in McKeesport. Cleaned bath & kitchen. Read “The Storrington Papers”.

Sat – Washed clothes. Slept late. Stan worked. Read “Sweets’ Folly” Tried to make booties (no luck).

Sun – Read. Stan fixed sausage & eggs. Read Barbara Cortland. Bill H. came out. Ivan worked. Carol called. Stayed up late reading.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Eleanor stopped out – brought clothes & mag. Elaine called. Stan bowled. Looked over magazines.

1981

Thu – Julie’s 1^st day back at school. Washed clothes. Cleaned bathroom & kitchen. Finished “Firebrand’s Woman”. Stan worked 5-1.

Fri – Worked at Lawsons. School. Stan worked 5-1. Julie fixed supper. Ivan took Julie to Murphys.

Sat – Worked at Lawsons. Stan went to bank & store. Washed clothes. Harry called in morn, broke ankle. Bill & Carolyn stopped. Ivan worked.

Sun – Worked half day. Greg here. Got ticket (sticker). Light wouldn’t fit. Went back. Freezing rain. Read. Watched TV.

Mon – Worked at Lawsons. Stan made chili. Stan worked 5-1. Read. Called Mary.

Tue – Slept late. Julie school. Cut hair. Went to Murphys & store. Made soup. Started sweater (blue). Stan worked 5-1. Marion called.

Wed – School. Read back diaries. Read “Rogue’s Mistress”. Stan’s day off. Made baked potatoes & fish.

1982

Fri – School. Worked at Lawsons. Dave made chili. Stan & I saw “Excalibur” at CC.

Sat – Julie & I worked at Lawsons. Washed clothes. Stan fixed leftovers. He went to bank & store. Ivan went to Laurel Caverns.

Sun – Julie worked & I worked part time. Marion called. Stan ground ham for ham loaf & ham salad. Read. Mary called. Watched TV.

Mon – School. Ivan dressed up (pictures). Worked at Lawsons. Had left-over chili. Pd. bills. Read.

Tue –School. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Had left-over ham loaf. Julie went to concert. Went to store. Read.

Wed – Stan went to see about fuel help. Worked on car. Baked cake. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Had steak & mushrooms. Marion called. Eleanor called.

Thu – School. Stan had trouble with hi-beam switch. Bill stopped. Stan went to store. Washed clothes. Cleaned. Made lasagna.

1983

Sat – Julie & I worked at Lawsons. Washed clothes. Stan made chicken by Julia Child. Read. Called Carolyn about piano, etc.

Sun – Julie worked. I worked half day. Got call McKeesport Admissions. Called Carol. Stan & I didn’t feel too good. Read.

Mon – School. Worked at Lawsons. Stan made chili. Stan worked 4-12. Knitted & watched “Shogun”.

Tue – School. Washed clothes. Went to store. Fixed fish, etc. for supper. Stan worked 4-12. Watched “Shogun”.

Wed – School. Mary called. Cleaned house. Read. Went to bookmobile. Finished sweater & hat set (Sherry). Stan worked 4-12. Watched “Shogun”.

Thu – School. Dave drove me to McKeesport Hosp. Had tests. Read & visited. Watched “Shogun”.

Fri – Had D&C & rectal repair. Felt lousy. Stan visited in afternoon. Slept. Stan & Julie went to school conference.
