Mon – Rain. Made Bar BQ spareribs in new crocker. Watched Penn State lose to Alabama. Greg here for supper. Harry took him home & Julie to Gubala’s. Called Mary.

Tue – Kids back to school. Washed clothes. 3 big loads. Harry packed (forgot jacket). Greg came. Went to store. Mrs. O. called. Stan home late – light snow. Buildt fire. Watched TV. Cut X-mas cards.

Wed- School. Ivan called – blackout. Wrote Harry. Stan took jacket for Harry (UPS). Took down tree & put away all X-mas trims. Kept fire going – cold (-3 degrees). Watched TV.

Thu – School. Cold. Stan took Subaru car to Goukers. Kept fire going Washed clothes. Cleaned out refrigerator. Called Eleanor. Ivan went to milk store & took me to Shop ‘N Save.

Fri – School. Stan left car at Goukers. They got him at work. Made stuffed peppers & galumpkies. Made apple pie. Ivan drove to Bethel Murphys. Slick. Stopped at Marions.

Sat – Slept later. Stan went to work. Washed clothes. Cleaned living room, etc. Stan watched hula bowl. Dave came. Played cards.

Sun – Felt sick. Bad cold. Icy rain. Watched Steelers beat Houston 34-5. Julie wore terrible towel. Dallas won (LA) 28-0. Played cards & watched TV. Made cream – strawberry pie.

1980

Tue – School – nobody went. Slept late. Dave went to work. Read. Stan got Julie from Sue’s. Had BBQ pork chops. Dave came supper.

Wed – School. Julie home sick. Washed clothes. Called Eleanor. Went to store & bank. Greg here for supper. Wrote Harry. Took down X-mas cards.

Thu – School. Marion called. Wrote Grace Aconza & Edna Pearson. Took down tree & trimmings. Guys moved chest back. Things fell out.

Fri – School. Light snow. Stan went to town. Finished “Cotillion” by Georgette Heyer. Called Mary. Dave came for lunch. Sorted cabinet. Cold (-8 degrees).

Sat – Washed clothes. Went to store. Shoveled & swept snow. Went for walk. Read. Marion called (morning).

Sun – Finished book “Walk in Paradise Garden” by Mayberry. Watched game. Steelers 27 – Houston 13. Went to Ponderosa for supper. Los Angeles 9 – Tampa Bay 0. Read.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Stan went bowling. Made sour cream twists. Read “Love is Dangerous” by BC.

1981

Thu – Up early. Read. Stan slept (worked night). Had bad cold. Fixed sauerkraut & spareribs.

Fri – Worked at Lawsons. Julie fixed supper. Tired. Called Marion. Read.

Sat – Worked at Lawsons. Snowed. Stan worked. Greg didn’t go back. Julie took down decorations. Went to Montgomery Ward. Got bras & purse. Read. Washed clothes.

Sun – Worked half day at Lawsons. Greg left for State College Stan worked daylight. Mary called. Julie baked Streusel cake. Had roast beef. Watched TV. Worked rug.

Mon – Cold (-1 degree). Worked at Lawsons. Had left-overs for supper. Stan worked 5-1. Lady stopped – car stuck. Read.

Tue – Took Julie to dental clinic. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Stan worked 5-1. Read. More snow. Marion called & Greg called. Cleaned out refrigerator.

Wed – Slept late. Made bacon & eggs. Paid sewage bill & went to store. Not enough money. Baked cake, made soup. Called Eleanor. Stan exchanged work trousers. Marion Z. called.

1982

Fri – Worked at Lawsons. Did supper. Stan fixed spareribs & kraut. Dave worked. Greg got bell housing off his Volvo. Read – tired.

Sat – Julie & I worked at Lawsons. Stan went to bank & store. Stan fixed meat loaf. Very good. Marion called. Got bell housing welded. Worked on car.

Sun – Julie sick – didn’t work. I worked half day. Went to store. Got Greg’s car going. He drove back to St. College. Mary called. Greg called – arrived but slid off road.

Mon – Worked at Lawsons. Julie went to Pitt Dental Clinic. Dave fixed chicken. Good supper. Took down tree & cards. Packed away tree.

Tue – Put away Christmas tree decorations. Washed clothes. Eleanor took me to lunch (Betty 0 Aunt Blanch). Went shopping. Had left-over sauerkraut. Went to K-Mart. Read. Stan mopped cellar.

Wed – School. Read “The Settlers & Savage Ecstasy”. Made apple pizza. Marion called.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Cleaned house. Called Eleanor. Fixed round steak. Read.

1983

Sat – Worked at Lawsons. Chella worked for Julie. Stan fixed pork & kraut. SMU – 7 Pitt-3. Washed clothes.

Sun – Julie worked. I worked half day. Made beef roast. Invited Marian (no go). Went to K-Mart. Read paper & watched TV. Stan called Hatfields. Was Sunday.

Mon – School. Worked at Lawsons. Took down cards (work & home). Washed clothes. Chella called. Timmy has walking pneumonia.

Tue – School. Julie home sick. Slept late – stomach cramps. Took down X-mas tree. Bill H. came out. Went to store.

Wed – School. Called for work. Didn’t go. Eleanor took me to lunch. Had to get Dave to get me at C World. Stan signed up. Stan & I went to see “Tootsie”. Dave at Toastmasters. Made reuben sandwiches.

1974

Mon – Up early. Made nut rolls. Drove Stan to town to Dr. Went to Stella’s. Went to store. Terrific traffic. Dave & Greg went shopping. Wrapped gifts.

Tue – No school. Baked cookies. Rested. Carol & Jim came. Had swimming frogs but took back. Bill & Carolyn came. Elaine & Don came late. She stayed overnight. Santa came.

Wed- Kids up at 4:30. Opened presents at 9:00. Bill called. Called Carol & Mary. Don came for Elaine. Light snow. Dan Arico came. Played cards.

Thu – Up early. Washed clothes. Went to store for groceries. Dave got milk & bread. Made chicken. Worked on accounting.

Fri – Cleaned house. Took Julie shopping. (Harry came, too.) Got shoes. Made lasagna. Stan & I went to Chatham Center. Saw “Front Page” Home early.

Sat – Washed clothes. Took Julie to Sears. Saw Laura Dee. Worked on checkbook. Frank made trouble about cleaning. Stan & I visited Frances Crain. Nice time.

Sun – Took shower. Called Marion & Elaine. Made pancakes. Read paper. Made tapioca & left over pork Chinese veg. Watched Steelers beat Oakland (24-13). Stan worked on resume.

Mon - Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Cleaned upstairs & changed sheets. Julie made cake. Made dough for rolls. Stan worked on resume.

Tue - Made pecan rolls. Called Eleanor. Looked at sewing machines for Elaine. Went to store. Stan went to see John Marks. Had pizza & sandwich makings. Kids did fire crackers.

1975

Tue – School. Julie home sick. Stan took cookies to school. Mended clothes. Went grocery shopping. Had ready cooked chicken. Got Julie’s present, etc. from Meckley’s. Greg went shopping for gift exchange.

Wed – No school. Washed clothes. Went last minute shopping. Changed sheets. Dave made stuffed peppers. Good. Elaine came for supper. Bill & Carolyn came with gifts for every body. Carol & Jim came. Elaine stayed overnight.

Thu – Kids up at 5:30. Opened presents at 9:00. Bill called. Called Carol. Drove Elaine out to Bill & Carolyn’s. Started to snow. Drove Elaine back. Stopped at Caroline’s. Helped them cut meat.

Fri – Tired. Read National Observer. Dave started work at 8:00. Elaine exchanged things. Went to store in evening. Exchanged Stan’s trousers & got groceries. Called Elaine. Made ice tea, juice. Harry went all-night bowling.

Sat – Cleaned house. Carolyn & Bill stopped out with football shirts. Made pea soup & baked apples. Had steak dinner by candlelight. Went to movie “Blazing Saddles”, sold out.

Sun – Light snow. Read paper. Cut out Julie’s blouse. Went to store. Stan went to shop. Wrote for send away offers (Postage up to 13 cents on 12-31-75.)

Mon – Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Changed sheets Fixed Bar-B-Q chicken. Mended & knitted. Watched football.

Tue - Rain. Baked cake. Made ham salad. Cleaned out refridgerator. Cleaned kitchen. Greg & Harry helped Dad at shop. Went to store. Kids worked puzzles.

Wed - Rain. Sewed & finished Julie's yellow blouse. Took Harry to get glasses. Got sandwich makings. Bill & Carolyn came. Brought egg nog & pizza. Had hoagies, pop, potato chips, etc.

1976

Thu – School. Baked 2 more batches of cookies. Went to school for X-mas party then went to store. Messed up tape. Stan cooked supper. Started Julie’s puzzle. Elaine came.

Fri – No school. Started to wash clothes (forgot). Had bad back ache. Stan helped clean. Finished puzzle. Everybody came. Gave them cookies. Up late Santa came.

Sat – Kids up early. Opened presents. Dave & Frank came. Nice presents. Kids went to Bill’s. Stan & I went to Pap’s. Elaine went to Andrea’s & then played in new snow with Ivan.

Sun – Beautiful winter wonderland. Elaine left to go back. Took Harry to Phyllis’s - exchange jeans. Dave came for supper. Steelers lost (Oakland 24 – Steelers 7). New snow.

Mon – School. Went to store for X-mas left-overs. Washed clothes. Changed sheets. Bill H. stopped out. Had boiled dinner. Watched TV. Notre Dame 20 – Penn State 7. Mary called.

Tue – School. Ivan & Harry stayed home. Went to eye doctor. Greg late getting up. Stan drove him to bus. Swept & mopped cellar. Played cards.

Wed – School. Went to McKeesport to sign-up. Stopped at store. Very cold. Called Lita Z. Lohner. Played cards. Dave came with clothes to be washed.

Thu - School. Julie stayed home. Cold. Washed clothes. Stan delivered drums. Ironed. Watched TV. Frank stopped. Stan drove him home. Sewed new apron.

Fri - School. Everybody went. Went to store. Crowded. Bought skates. Stan helped me clean. Bill & Carolyn came & Dave, too. They brought pop, potato chips & pop. Had pizza & sandwich makings. Had nice time.

1977

Fri – School. Baked lady locks. Went to store. Made raisin cookies & stuffed apricots. Frank helped clean. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Carolyn & Bill came with turkey.

Sat – Made peanut butter – Hershey cookies. Made cake. Elaine came. Had soup & pizza for lunch. Washed clothes. Made chili. Ironed. Carol & Jim came. Bill & Carolyn came. Exchanged gifts. All together. Santa came.

Sun – Christmas. Ivan & Julie up at 6:30. Opened presents at 9:00. Wonderful. Stan fixed ham & eggs. Elaine went to Carol’s. Had turkey dinner. Good. Bill & Carolyn came. Andrea came.

Mon – Slept late. Went to store for exchanges. Fixed ham. Bill Hat. Stopped out. Stan & I went to Pap’s & Caroline.

Tue – Stan went to work. Washed clothes. Kids swept & mopped. Took kids ice skating. Went to store, got milk. Stan & I went to Poli restaurant – delicious. Too late for show. Watched TV.

Wed – Stan went to W. Va. Called Marion. Kids slept late. Straightened house. Made lasagna. Dave moved some things to new apartment (Boston). Washed clothes. Played cards.

Thu – Called Carol. Drove Greg to work. Went to store. Harry went to Oakland. Made French chocolates. Harry got parking ticket. Hatfields came to help Dave move – very late.

Fri - Nice day. Slept late. Greg & Frank played football. Cleaned living room, dining room & kitchen. Got Stan shirt & tie. Bill & Carolyn came for us. Went to Hukelau. Had great time. Pitt 34 - Clemson 3.

Sat - Nice day. Went to store. Washed clothes. Made meat loaf. Fixed shrimp. Dan & Elaine called. Bill & Carolyn & Dave came & ate oodles of food, lots of pop. Nice time.

1978

Sat – Stan got up, went to meeting. Elaine & I made onion soup. Baked peanut cookies. Harry drove me to store. Stan picked up steaks, etc. Had lasagna dinner. Good. Elaine visited Andrea – hospital. Elaine out in eve. Made tea cakes. N.C.S. 30 – Pitt 17.

Sun – Julie went to church. Made chicken soup & cleaned up. Dave & Greg came. Had steak dinner. All went well. Carol & Jim came. Had sandwiches. Bill & Carolyn came. Open gift exchange gifts.

Mon – Christmas. Dave & Greg came over. Opened gifts. Elaine & Stan fixed brunch. Used electric fry pan. Made a fire. Stan & Elaine visited Caroline & Pap. Elaine visited Bill. Julie visited Danielle.

Tue – Stan sick. Stayed home. Elaine & I talked. She got ready. Harry took her to airport. Went to store to take back. Washed clothes. Bruce, Robin & BJ came. Buildt fire. Carol stopped.

Wed – Called Marion & Eleanor. Washed clothes. Swept cellar. Harry drove me to Murphy art. Got material for Julie’s top. Mary called. Stan & I went to Casa de Leon (duck tough). Went to see “California Suite”. Harry saw Penguins.

Thu – Slept later. Cut out & sewed Julie’s top (nice). Harry took me to Clairton for milk, etc. Made sauerkraut & tapioca pudding. Buildt fire. Watched TV. Girl came selling jewelry. Boys bought.

Fri – Up early. Wrote checks. Called Marion. Read paper. Made pancakes for lunch. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Had spaghetti. Greg came. They played football. Stan exchanged gifts – got hat. Went to store.

Sat - Stan went to shop in morning. Harry went with Flip to game (Steelers 33 - Denver 10). Had pork roast. Greg & Dave came. Ivan & I went to store in Dave's car. Got roast beef sandwiches.

Sun - Washed clothes. Stan cleaned out dryer. Made cake. Had left over sauerkraut. Greg & Dave came early. Harry worked with Benacks. Bill & Carolyn came. Brought pizza, etc. Had shrimp & cream soup. Julie went to Capanna's.

Tue – School. Went to store. Carol came. Took Ivan to dentist. Went to see Stan. Tired. Watched TV. Mary called.

Wed- School. Made cookies & nut rolls. Carol came for lunch. Cleaned up Went to visit Stan in hospital. Had supper. Got tapes. Went to Harry’s concert. Tape didn’t work. Cas came to Pgh.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Swept walk. School. Bus late 1 hr. Stella called. Went for milk. Went to store. Picked up Elaine. Kids made supper. Went to Ivan’s concert. Ivan had outburst.

Fri – School. Elaine here. Cleaned kitchen & bathroom. Delivered morning papers for kids (up late). Went to Julie’s program & store. Took Elaine back to her apartment. Went to see Stan at hospital.

Sat – Up early. Took shower. Went to hospital to get Stan. Took Greg & Harry to shop. Went to store. Put up Christmas tree with Ivan & Julie’s help. Dave came home. Tired. Fixed eggs.

Sun – Cleaned house. Showered. Went to store. Cas & Mary came for lunch. Visited Bobby H. & girl came. Called Elaine. Frank banged hand into door (anger). Wrapped presents, made dough.

1975

Tue – School. Went to store. Harry home sick. Cut out Julie’s top & mended clothes. Finished back of Harry’s sweater. Started front. Went to Ivan’s concert. Taped it. Took Bobby Stinner.

Wed – School. Harry home sick. Went to store. Wrapped Christmas presents. Dave cooked supper. Dave went looking at cars. Went to Minnesota Fabrics & A&P.

Thu – School. Very cold. Washed clothes. Sewed Julie’s shirt & underpants. Stan & I went to Harry’s concert. Made ice tea. Called Mary.

Fri – School. Cleaned house. Put up Christmas decorations. Fixed Swiss steak. Elaine came for supper. Got toaster & coffee pot. Carol & Jim came. Brought birthday cake.

Sat – Up early. Washed clothes. Stan worked on legs for organ. Took Dave to work. Went to store. Stan drove Kids (Julie) to Rostraver. Greg & Ivan put up tree. Nice. Stan put light around windows. Made dough. Called Marion.

Sun – Up early. Made nut rolls & lady locks. Rested. Made nanmimo cookies. Bill came. Brought fruit. Bruce & Robin stopped. Gave nut roll. Had soup & sloppy joes.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Stan took car for inspection. Wrapped presents. Mended.

Fri – School. Went to bank & Murphy Mart. Dave didn’t look good. Went to Shop ‘N Save. Watched TV. “Donnie & Marie Osmond Show”. Harry had job. Watched “King Kong” on TV.

Sat – Washed clothes. Cleaned & put up X-mas decorations & indoor lights. Kids went shopping. Kids played football. Watched Oakland 24 – New England 21 (terrible). Stan & kids played bridge.

Sun – Slept late. Elaine called. Straightened. Went to store. Steelers 40 – Baltimore 14. Stan fixed supper. Stuffed chicken, broccoli, salad (very good). Julie iced cake. Stan got me pin. Carol & Dave came.

Mon – School.

Tue – School. Made nut roll, peanut butter cookies, nanamimo, Russian tea cakes & Russian torte. Stan went to Dr. & took Ivan to dentist. Eve Julie & I made rolled X-mas cookies for school. Iced them. Watched TV. Harry worked.

Wed – School. Harry up late. Julie did paper route. Drove Stan to get new Subaru. Went to store. We went to Harry’s concert. Julie, Stan & I. Bill & Carolyn there. Taped it.

1977

Fri – School. Finished Christmas cards. Jean Moll called. Cleaned house. Went to store. Finished typing story from magazine.

Sat – Nice day. Washed clothes. Ivan went on hike. Greg coached basketball. Ivan, Greg, Julie put up Christmas lights. Harry had job. Carol came out. Went to Eastland. Stan got Frank at town. Called Mary.

Sun – Dave worked. Read paper. Made pizza. Watched football. Ate early. Went to Murphy Mart. Baked birthday cake. Bill called. Eleanor called.

Mon – School. Julie & Ivan home sick. Washed clothes. Kids put up tree. Started to wrap presents. Iced cake – Julie decorated. Got new watch. Swept & mopped. Marion & Mary called.

Tue – School. Rain. Drove Greg to work. Got gas. Went to Gold Circle & Foodland. Bill H. came out. Harry took car. Wrapped presents. Bill & Carolyn came – brought clock for my birthday.

Wed – School. Julie home sick. Made kapusta & Russian torte. Went to store. Made tea cakes. Harry went to basketball game then concert. Stan didn’t feel well – didn’t go. Went to Gold Circle.

Thu – School. Stan home sick. Washed clothes. Made chocolate candy balls, finished nanamimo cookies. Made rice krispie squares. Bill called. Had turkey for us.

Sat – Ivan drove Stan to shop (meeting). He took car for alignment. Washed clothes. Made kapusta. Went to store. Went to Marion’s. Stan watched game. Went Murphy’s. Had Bar-B-Q. Good.

Sun – Read paper. Stan hung wreath. Went to Gold Circle. Visited Dave. Had fried veal chops. Greg came. Carol & Jim came. Had birthday present. Watched TV. Ivan & Frank washed car.

Wed- School. Wrote letter to Bill. Sent out Christmas cards. Went to Grants & Krogers. Made banana cake & rolls. Went to night school. Last time this semester.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Mended. Got things ready for Carbide Eng. party. Showered. Went to Mountain View. Nice crowd. Nice time. Got candle 7 holder.

Fri – School. Cleaned house. Went to store. Washed few things (gentle). Sewed. Made juice. Watched TV. Stan took Greg & Harry to shop. Elaine called.

Sat – Up early. Showered. Went to Carol’s. Took her couch to Rt. 30 furniture. Washed clothes. Called Marion & Carol.

Sun – Read paper. Showered & washed hair. Went to store. Made dough. Julie ground nuts. Made nut rolls. Made meat loaf. Started to snow. Kids got baths.

Thu – School. Dave took car to work. Called Eleanor & Siegels. Washed clothes. Changed my sheet. Finished last of X-mas cards. Made Bar-B-Q chicken. Baked raisin bars. Stan went to shop. Ivan, too.

Sun – Nice day. Read paper. Met Carol. Went shopping at Feldmans. Julie visited Carla Latine (stayed for supper). Stan went to Liberty Precision. Kids worked at shop. Stan took Harry to Hosp. (eye).

Sat – Washed clothes. Julie & I went to store. Had pork & sauerkraut. Harry had job. Harry bought new speakers. Steelers 21 – Houston 0. Wrote X-mas cards & letters.

Sun – Cleaned stove top. Read paper. Stan, Julie & I went to town. Kids got baths. Watched “Miracle on 34^th Street” & “Peter Pan” & “Money Changers”.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Stan worked on dryer. Swept & mopped. Went to store (took back chicken). Greg home late. Marion called. Watched TV – X-mas specials.

Tue – School. Made stuffed peppers & galumpkies. Made date cookies. Went to Paydays & Phyllis’. Took Ivan to Penneys to get trousers – got candy for class.

Wed – School. Went to town. Saw about food stamps & bought me things at Lane Bryant. Watched TV.

1977

Fri – School. Harry home sick. Got Spray & Vac from Strands – couldn’t get it to work right. Returned it. Disgusted. Typed.

Sat – Up late. Washed clothes. Harry & Greg had basketball. Stan home early. Made cake & cordon bleu. Harry had job.

Sun – Marion called. Julie & I went to South Hills Village. Stopped to get Rinse & Vac at Murphy’s – broke. Dave had Murphy X-mas party. Greg worked. Got milk. Called Eleanor & Frank.

Mon – School. Stan home sick. Got Rinse & Vac. Cleaned living room, dining room, 2 downstairs bedrooms & 1 upstairs bedroom. Made waffles for supper. Tired. Washed hair. Harry worked.

Tue – School. Washed clothes. Took back carpet cleaner & stopped at store. Swept & mopped cellar. Changed sheets. Called Mary. John had operation.

Wed – School. Rain. Worked on X-mas cards. Wrote notes. Typed. Made pepper steak. Washed 1 load of clothes. Stan & I went to Sears.

Thu – School. Drove Greg to work. Went to bank & store. Cleaned lunch. Went to post office, milk store & bank for Mrs. Iames. Fixed supper. Went to K-Mart.

1978

Sat – Dave came here. Took Ivan for drivers test – passed. Got Julie from party. Ivan took Frank & Julie ice skating. Greg & Dave went for mattress & springs. Greg wrecked car. Stan got them. Bad roads – snowy. Steelers 35 – Baltimore 13.

Sun – Up early. Snowing. Stan got Dave at work & drove Ivan for papers. Went back to bed. Ivan got milk. Greg & Stan went with Bill H. to get Greg’s Volvo. Drove Greg & Dave home. Buildt fire.

Mon – School. Cold (9 degrees) Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Hung wreaths upstairs. Fixed up stairs drapery rod. Called Marion & Eleanor (Laura there). Walked over to Jefferson – Mrs. Kampert. Buildt fire. Stan went bowling. Ivan for job. Wrote letters – Elaine & Harry.

Tue – School. Called Eleanor. Greg came for loan papers. Mary called. made lemon meringue pie(Kate’s lemon). Put lights around dining room window. Dave admitted to hosp (tests). Went to store.

Wed – School. Washed couch & chair covers. Scrubbed furniture. Called Dave in hospital. Greg came over. Ivan & Stan visited Dave. Bill & Carolyn came. Looked at Volvo.

Thu – School. Dave called. Washed 1 load. Made sesame cookies & stew. Frank home early. Visited Dave & Mrs. Kampert. Called Mary. Watched TV. Read. Went to bank (deposit) & Hardees.

Fri – School. Cleaned house. Called Dave. Still groggy. Had fried bologna. Went to bank & store. Ivan took car. Got muddy & got stuck. Watched “Testimony of Two Men” conclusion.

December 2 - December 8, 1974-1978

1974

Mon – 4 inches of snow. Stan drove Dave to bus station. Felt very blue. No school. Called about job. Washed clothes.

Tue – No school. Power failure. Washed clothes. Swept cellar. Kids mopped. Went to store. Called again about job. Had talk with Stan.

Wed- No school. Sewed aprons for Mary & Caroline. Bill Hatfield here for lunch (helped Stan at shop). Went to school. Stopped at store.

Thu – No school. Washed clothes. Fixed lunch. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Went to Washners for close out sale. Got hats.

Fri – 1^st day back to school for kids. Eleanor called & Mary Devine called. Cleaned living room, etc. Went back to Washners (exchange) Went to Sq. Hill for interview for job. No luck.

Sat – Washed clothes. Kids cleaned. Went to store & X-mas shopping. Took Harry back in evening (gift exchange). Elaine & Don came. She washed clothes. Watched TV.

Sun – Slept late. Stan went to shop. Julie made cake. Worked on homework. Had roast beef. Watched “Upstairs, Downstairs”. Kids got baths.

1975

Tue – School. Mended clothes. Typed Harry’s paper for school. Called Eleanor. Stan picked up carpet cleaner. Tried it on bedroom rug.

Wed – School. Dave’s day off. Helped me. We cleaned living room & my bedroom carpet. Big job. Took machine back. Dave cooked supper. Went shopping at Murphy Mart (15% discount). Bought new oil cloth.

Thu – School. Drove Dave to work. Went shopping (15% discount). Washed clothes. Washed living room covers. Got gift exchanges. Dave took Ivan back for trousers & tape recorder (out). Tired.

Fri – School. Re-washed couch cushions. Put them back on. Cleaned up & dusted. Cleaned kitchen. Wrote checks for Cl. Tech. Kids went to the show. Saw “Chinatown” & “Longest Yard”. Julie stayed over at Kelly’s. Marion called.

Sat – Rain. Went to store. Dave took car to work in after. Bill & Carolyn stopped. I washed clothes. Elaine stopped out with J.C. to get books. Kelly here for supper.

Sun – Addressed X-mas cards & wrote letters. Called Pat Cocuzzi & Gloria Goughnour. Made Bar-B-Q spare ribs.

1976

Thu – School. Greg drove. Washed clothes. Bill H. came. Had supper. Called Marion John. Mary Narvin called. Marion called (had quit her job).

Fri – Record cold (-7 degrees). Cars wouldn’t start. Stan drove Greg to McKeesport to get train to town (late). Cleaned house. Harry & Ivan home sick. Watched “Beauty & the Beast”. Dave came & got mail.

Sat – Warmer. Bill H. came. Took last load of rubbish out of shop. Went to store. Washed clothes. Called Marion. Went to K-Mart & got milk. Had steak dinner. Harry worked.

Sun – Read paper. Washed hair. Julie went to show. Went to Clairton flea market & Murphy Mart. Harry worked. Watched “Moneychangers” on TV.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Changed sheets. Bill H. came. Stayed for supper. Harry worked. Got cake from Benacks. Dave & Frank came. Washed clothes. Dave ate. Watched TV.

Tue – School. Sewed scarves. Called Gloria Goughnour. Went to store. Made chili. Bill H. came. Stayed for supper. Called Pat Cocuzzi.

Wed – School. Julie stayed for lunch. Went to McKeesport – signed up. Went to Eastland – shopped. Stan took stuff to Dave’s. Dave came for magazines. Watched TV.

1977

Fri – School. Washed hair. Cleaned house. Took Mrs. Iames to bank & store. Made quick supper. Dave worked & Harry worked. Worked on photo album.

Sat – Kids started to basketball practice. Flat tire – Pontiac. Couldn’t change it. Went to bank & store. Stan, Julie & I went shopping in evening. Got watches. Had gasket blew on Subaru. Mary called. Frank coming home.

Sun – Fixed soup & noodles. Bill & Carolyn came. Changed tire on Pontiac. Stan got hose for Subaru. Fixed it. Harry worked. Steelers 30 – Seattle 20. Watched “The Gathering”.

Mon – School. Rain. Called Marion. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. David got car inspected. Went to store. Harry brought girl friend here – we’d gone to bed.

Tue – School. Called Eleanor. Sewed Carol’s dress. Mended. Typed. Made pan cookies. Went to store. Buildt fire. Mary called & Bill H. called.

Wed – School. Very cold (7 degrees). Washed clothes & covers for couch, etc. Gathered wood. Made pork roast. Scrubbed chairs. Typed. Drove Greg to work & went to dairy.

Thu – School. Scrubbed couches. Put on clean covers. Went to store & H.S. for testing. Had lasagna. Called Mary.

1978

Sat – David here early. Took test at hospital. Marion called. Washed clothes. Took Julie & Karen ice skating. Stopped at milk store. Stan picked them up. (He had bad cold). Took Julie to Children’s Palace & Gold Circle.

Sun – Did papers with Ivan. Addressed Christmas cards. Julie & I went to Eastland. Watched game Steelers 13 –Houston 3. Dave stopped.

Mon – School. Called Marion. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Stamped X-mas cards. Bill H. stopped out. Harry called. Stan went bowling. Went to store – late. Buildt fire.

Tue – School. Mary called. Frank home sick. Made cake. Wrapped presents. Made lists for Christmas. Made stuffed shells. Julie brought friend home for supper. Stan & I went shopping for gift exchanges.

Wed – School. Stan home sick. Typed Ivan’s paper. Called Eleanor. Went to store & bank. Called Dave about Laura’s bed. Stan & I typed. Bill & Carolyn stopped. Her mother had heart attack.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Typed Ivan’s term paper. Made soup. Laura called – made arrangements about mattress. Called Carol. Stan types. Watched TV.

Fri – School. Rainy. Carol took stuff for going to slumber – birthday party. Baked cookies. Made chili. Carolyn & Bill brought Jesse (Cathy’s baby) & we babysat. Finished Greg’s afghan.
