Wed- School. Gregory home because of poison ivy. Went to K-Mart for party things. Made favors. Stan went to school. Took Elaine to Southland for shoes.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Cleaned & mopped cellar. Put up old kitchen table in cellar. Stan went bowling. Buildt fire. Mary called.

Fri – School. Greg home sick. Washed hair. Cleaned out ref. Baked cake for party. Cleaned kitchen. Greg cleaned kitchen. Went to store. Had groceries stolen from car.

Sat – Made icing for cake. Went to store. Carol fixed lunch. Car window broken by vandals. Harry’s birthday party. Man came about Feb. accident. Stan took Harry & Greg to scout banquet.

Sun – Took shower. Went to Haines. Had to clean up from party. Carol got company (girls from school). Watched TV. Visited Mrs. Iames. Stan visited Pap & Helen.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Did four loads. Baked birthday cake. Had lobster & shrimp. Harry & Greg went swimming. Stan took Frank to electronics (waste). Put out candy.

Tue – School. Straightened house. Went to Clabers & Foodland. Got Harry more Lego. Ironed & mended. Stan, G, H, & I & myself went to PTA on reptiles. Left early to go to town to get Carol.

Fri – School. Stan went to hospital for test. Cancelled trip. Went to bank & store. Went to Haines & Clabers. Took Harry for shoes in eve.

Sat – Washed clothes & ironed. Fixed apple & blueberry pies. Carol fixed dinner for D, E & her Greg. Stan, me & family went to Blue & Gold dinner.

Sun – Slept late. Greg drove out & washed & waxed car. Elaine took down x-mas lights. Read paper. Gave haircuts. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Changed sheets. Folded & ironed. Stan went to Dr. Went to store. Then went to South Hills Village. Got new shoes. Got Stan wallet.

Tue – School. Frank & Stan home. Baked cake. Went to Wilson for Cub Scout. Had birthday supper. Harry wore new shoes. Got jeans, cub scout, kite & top. Called Dad. Watched TV.

Wed – School. Straightened house. Cut out & sewed Julie’s Easter dress. Sewed on blanket binding. Went to Bartolottas.

1971

Fri – School. Elaine home. Straightened up kitchen. Went to store. Had stuffed rubber chicken. Dave & Elaine went to library. Had electrical short. Called Helen.

Sat – Baked pies. Washed clothes. Did big ironing. Took Frank to Rt. 51 Bargain Store. Carol made spaghetti. F,G,H,I & J & Stan & I went to Cub Scout dinner.

Sun – Went to SS. Taught. Julie went too. Bad day. Cried. Stan visited his Pap & stopped at my Dad’s for radio.

Mon – School. Had crying spell. Swept & mopped cellar. Ironed. Fixed pork roast. Stan home early. Had talk. Stan went bowling. Went to store.

Tue – School. Frank home sick. Straightened house. Made telephone calls. Had fish & French fries. Stan had to go back to work. Went to PTA. Took Ivan & Julie. Atomic demo.

Wed – School. Frank home. Baked cake. Washed clothes. Made spaghetti. Started to snow. Everyone home late. Harry got jeans, trousers, shirt, kite, socks & $5.00. Got stuck. Stan took me to store.

Thu – McGee’s had new baby. No school. Lots of snow (10 inches). Winds & drifts. Shoveled driveway. Mended & knitted. Elaine baked choc. Chip cookies. Stan went bowling. Dave got Carol.

1972

Sat – Washed clothes. Folded & ironed. Kids cleaned. Carol stopped out. Made Bar-B-Q spareribs. Played cars till late. Terrible. Dave Conklin stayed overnight. Bruce H. stopped.

Sun – Very tired. Made chicken soup, jello salad & cake. Picked up Dave at Sunnyhill. Bruce stopped out. Got Elaine from town. Stan visited Pap. Everyone got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Changed sheets. Called Stella. Stan went bowling. Went to store.

Tue – School. Elaine home sick. Sewed zipper in dress. Straightened house. Made egg custard, rolls & chili. Bruce came out to fix Plymouth (brake shoes).

Wed – School. Elaine home sick. Nice day. Julie & I worked on driveway. Picked up beer cans. Knitted. Played cards.

Thu – School. Elaine home again. Went to bank & store. Dave went to school. Washed clothes. Went to store. Bill H. & Bruce stopped to fix brakes on Plymouth. Went to store.

Fri – No school because of ice. Baked Harry’s cake. Elaine iced it. Flip came up. Played Lego. Schuback came for TV repair. Harry got shirt, jeans, kite, wiffle bat & ball. Played cards.

Tue – Stan home. Went to Pitt Dental with Ivan. Sewed Stan tie. Relaxed. Stan went with Bill to pick up part for Datsun. Went to Bookmobile & store. Fellows worked on Datsun. Julie got library card.

Wed – School. Straightened house. Cleaned kitchen walls. Moved stove & refrigerator. Went out to Eastland. Paid on bill – took back shirt.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Changed sheets. Went to store. Typed invoices. Stan worked at shop.

Fri – School. Packed lunches. Went to shop. Gathered rubbish. Columbia gas came. Got milk. Went to bank & went shopping. Cleaned living room. Elaine came. Andrea came. They went out.

Sat – Kids cleaned. Washed clothes. Took Harry & Ivan to Casinelli to get bus for ice skating. Went to K-Mart. Got tennis rackets. Iced cake. Flip came up. Played “Minister’s cat”. Mixed dough. Frank slept at Conklin’s. Cut out Dave’s outfit.

Sun – Made honey & cinnamon rolls. Read paper. Julie had ear ache. Took Elaine to school. Stan worked on income tax. Advertised Datsun. Worked on puzzle & invoices. Kids got baths.

Sat –Washed clothes. Washed behind stove & refrigerator (ugh). Went to Sears & Acme. Finished baby sweater.

Sun – Went to UU church. Stopped at Haines. Helped Carol with dress. Watched TV & sewed.

Mon – No school - teachers visitation. Washed clothes. Did big ironing. Pressed Carol’s suit & dress. Hemmed Elaine’s skirt. Watched TV. Kids got bath. Stan visited Pap.

Tue – School. Greg home in afternoon. Went to Sears & Acme. Made whip & chill. Straightened house. Carol went to Mary’s overnight. Wrote party invitations.

1970

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Changed our sheets. Ironed. Knitted. Stan went bowling. Watched TV.

Fri – School. Ivan stayed home in morning. Went to store & K-Mart. Made sponge cake. Made meatloaf.

Sat – Washed clothes. Went to shopping center. Got fresh ham & bread. Ironed. Kids cleaned. Went to Stella’s. Stan went bowling with Elaine & Carol & her Greg.

Sun – Tired. Made ice tea, juice. Baked cake. Made pizza. Rested. Finished baby outfit. Washed it. Visited Mrs. Iames. Windy. Kids played out.

Mon – School. Washed clothes & ironed. Carol off work (holiday). Changed sheets. Carol went to school. Took Elaine. Stan went bowling. Watched TV. Wrote Bill.

Tue – School. Mended. Swept & mopped cellar. Baked cookies. Made stuffing & beef. Watched TV & knitted. Carol took car. Nice day. Kids played outside.

Wed – School. Relaxed. Straightened house. Went to PTA meeting. Stopped at nursing home to see Mary Conway. Watched TV. Stan sick during night . Hospital Emergency.

Sat – Washed clothes. Car stuck in mud. Kids cleaned. Stan went to bank & Sears (waste). Elaine was at school for forensics. Got Frank’s shoes at shoemaker. Stan went bowling. Barbara H. & Michael K. came out.

Sun – Slept late. Made cream of potato soup. Read paper. Made fruit turnovers. Fixed roast beef. Bill not feeling well. Carol took kids to Al’s. Elaine made new dress.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Changed sheets. Went to store. Got ribbon for Elaine. Elaine went with school to see “1776”. Dave got Carol. Knitted. Stan went bowling.

Tue – School. Went to McKeesport to PP (too crowded). Went to paint store. Bill got Elaine from school. Man stopped out about driveway. Started ceiling of kitchen.

Wed – School. Bill worked. Elaine home. Painted kitchen walls. Eve. Stan put 2^nd coat on ceiling & cabinets. Went to store.

Thu – School. Elaine home. Painted 2^nd coat on kitchen walls. Washed clothes. Stan went bowling.

Sat – Kids made big breakfast. Cleaned up. Washed clothes. Shoveled porch. Bill shoveled driveway. Terrible wind & snow. Bridge game called off. Carol & Jim stopped out.

Sun – Up early. Worked puzzle. Went to Haines. Swept walk. Read paper. Played cards. Took shower.

Mon – No school (Wash. Birthday). Kids shoveled drive way. Washed. Sewed dress & apron. Stan home late (strike at plant). Didn’t go to bowling (tired). Kids got baths.

Tue – School. Washed clothes. Went to store. Swept & mopped cellar. Mended. Straightened house. Called Dad & Stella. Buildt fire. Knitted & watched TV. Elaine tried for job at Murphys.

Wed – School. Straightened house. Cleaned kitchen cabinets & floor. Made baked chicken & pudding. Elaine baked choc. Chip cookies. Went to store.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Folded & ironed. Had early supper. Stan didn’t stay at Latrobe overnight.

Fri – School. Rewrote article for mag. Cleaned living room. Fixed early supper. Took Dave & Elaine to Sunnyhill for LRY rally at Cleveland. Took boys to basketball game. Went to bank.

Tue – School. Greg & Julie home sick. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Called about gloves for shop. Bill delivered. Called Eleanor. Went to store.

Wed – School. Made perogi & kapusta. Straightened. Went to Clairton for milk. Made popcorn balls & fire. Dave’s friend Barb came. Played bridge.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Straightened upstairs. Ironed. Baked cookies. Elaine came home. Harry went to Kennedy’s. Dave got him. Car overheated. Elaine got antifreeze. Took Elaine to school. Stan at shop.

Fri – Wrote Bill letter. Cleaned refrigerator. Carol took car. Went to school for Valentine party. Went to bank & Clabers.

Sat – Slept late. Mr. Steele called about Elsie Lawson. Washed clothes. Went to store. Snowy. Dave took girl bowling. Greg came. Kids went sled riding & made pizza.

Sun – Glaze of ice. Read paper. Stan & I went to funeral home. Frank fixed fr. fries. Started sleeves of baby sweater. Watched TV. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Changed sheets. Watched TV. Sewed baby sweater.

Tue – School. Cleaned house. Went to store. Made lasagna. Took Greg to eye Dr. again. Picked up cake & candy. Made lobster & stuffed shrimp. Watched TV. Started hat.

Wed – School. Had flat tire. Chopped ice off front porch Julie played at Leslie’s. Greg missed bus. Frank changed tire. Stan got new tires at Sears. I went to K-Mart.

Fri – School. Finished dress. Went to store. Cleaned kitchen. Went to school to help with Valentine party. Stan & I went to show “Joe”.

Sat – Washed clothes. Went to store. Snowing. Carol & Greg walked to Roxie’s. Family worked the puzzle. Ironed & put away. Kids cleaned.

Sun – Snow everywhere. Church cancelled. Worked puzzle. Made chocolate log & French meatballs. Andrea came. Slept overnight.

Mon – No school (Wash. birthday vacation) Made kids remove snow from house. Dave took kids to Wesley’s. Finished puzzle (again). Kids got baths.

Tue – School. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Changed sheets. Had beef roast. Had boys clean & rearrange bedroom. Went to K-Mart for Dave’s birthday stuff.

Wed – Baked cake. School bus late. Sewed Dave’s pjs. Had breaded veal cutlet. Dave got briefcase, book, pen, unfinished pjs, sweater. Stan had to go back to work (water in naptha).

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Scrubbed the kitchen walls. Big job. Went to Dad’s. Visited. Went to town to get Carol.

1972

Sat – Washed clothes. Bill went to store & got makings of hoagies. Cleaned living room. Carol stopped out. Iced cake & made rigatoni. Played bridge.

Sun – Snow. Shoveled walk. Baked cake. Made roast in cooking bag. Elaine went to Andrea’s. Didn’t go to LRY (bad roads). Shoveled again. Carol & Jim came out.

Mon – School. Up early. Looked for lost garbage can lid. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Changed sheets. Went to school for Valentines party. Stan & Bill went to Carbide Eng.

Tue – School. Went to bank. Dave went to school. Went to store. Played cards. Bill worked. Elaine was at Andrea’s. Went to Bookmobile & Foodland. Buildt fire.

Thu – School. Greg home sick. Called on phone about charge cards. Called Marion & Stella. Elaine came home. Washed clothes & ate supper. Dave took her home.

Fri – School. Cleaned living room & kitchen. Couldn’t get car out of driveway. Cancelled Dr. Siegel’s appointment. Went to bank. Opened new account. Went to store. Went for new driver’s license.

Thu – School. Washed & ironed. Sewed Elaine’s skirt. Stan went bowling. Bill H. came out with boys. Went to bottom of hill for Carol (already home).

Fri – School. Cleaned kitchen. Sewed Carol’s jacket. Went to store. Stan home late. Rested. Bill H. came out. Bruce had axel for bike (too big).

Sat – Stan worked in morning. Took kids for glasses. Washed clothes. Stan went to bowling party. Went to store.

Sun – Slept late. Snow storm missed us. Stan went to work. I went in for signatures for Bill’s card. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Went to HS for signatures for Bill’s valentine. Julie sick. Washed clothes & straightened house. Carol at school. Stan went to Carbidie Engineers. Got Carol at Coal Valley.

Tue – Sick with fever. Stan came home & got Elaine from school. Rested. Stan went in and got Carol.

Sun – Gray day. Read paper. Dave took kids to Carnegie Library & Als. Carol & Greg made cookies. Watched TV. Kids got baths.

Fri – School. Drove to McKeesport then Stan to work. Plymouth stalled. Got windshield wipers fixed on Firebird. Went to bank & store. Bill’s car limped home (sick). Took Dave to Squillas for rally.

Sat – Washed clothes. Carol went to wedding. Brought Diane for supper. They all went to reception. Elaine baby sat. Hip hurt. Went to store.

Sun – Didn’t go to church. Knitted. Stan rolled off. Went for ride to get David at Squilla’s. Visited Iames. Kids got baths. Marion S. called.

Mon – School. Up early. Swept snow. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Changed sheets. Drove Stan bowling & went to store.

Tue – School. Worked on chair covers. Frank Kennedy came about Firebird damage. Went to school to see Mrs. Cole (Frank). Stan stayed overnight at York, Pa.
