Mon – No school. Greg slept over & helped shovel driveway. He went in with Stan. Shoveled snow. Ivan & Julie climbed front awning & took off snow.

Tue – School. Julie home – head cold. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Took ice off steps. Stan worked over. Cut out shirt for Julie.

Wed- No school. Icy. Stan stayed home – sore toe. Dave had accident. Car totaled (Chevette). Looked at radio. Ivan washed car. Got David. Dave took Subaru to work.

Thu – School. Nice. Snow melted. Washed clothes. Made apple cake. Sewed Julie’s shirt. Stan worked over. Dave took Subaru to work.

Fri – School. Rain. Finished Julie’s blouse. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Fixed roast. Bill H. came out. Went to bank & store. Julie went to school dance. Ivan got Greg at work.

Sat – Stan went to work early. Marion called. Called Elaine & Mary. Washed clothes Made lentil soup. Cleaned living & dining rooms. Ivan got Greg at work & had car.

Sun – Stan went to work early. Slept late. Had ham & eggs. Called Bill & Carolyn. Made strawberry cream dessert & Salisbury steak. Bill H. & Dave were here.

Tue – School. Read. Called Eleanor. Called Marion John (sick). Went to hospital for 2^nd interview. Bill came with parts ( bike). Frank went to basketball game. Elaine called. Ivan went to Greg’s.

Wed – School. Cleaned kitchen cupboards. Read “Charity Girl”. Went to 1^st Chinese cooking class. Rain.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Went to bank & store. Typed Stan’s resume. Frank worked 2-7. Ivan worked. Read B. Cartland. Called Carol.

Fri – School. Julie had school play. Came home sick. Cleaned kitchen. Read “Errant Knight”. Played cards.

Sat – Ivan had meeting. Julie sick. Ran sweeper. Washed clothes. Ivan went to Greg’s with sweeper. Ivan worked.

Fri – School. Worked at Lawsons. Brought home Bar B Q chicken. Rain. Stan worked 5-1. Made stew. Read. Stan took Julie store – sweat jacket.

Sat – Worked at Lawsons. Washed clothes. Stan worked 5-1. Read.

Sun – Worked half day. Elaine called. Called Carol & Marion. Stan worked 5-1. Sewed at nightgown. Watched TV.

Tue – School. Up early. Packed. Wrote to Bill. Stan took me to hospital. Had tests. Waited for room. Met Sandy Czarniecki.

Wed – Got 4 enemas (& 3 night before). Had operation. Out of it.

Fri – School. Worked at Lawsons. Dave fixed spaghetti. Stan called MacFarland – to get Pap in Kane. Elaine called.

Sat – Julie & I worked at Lawsons. Stan fixed left over soup & left over spaghetti. Read “A Cradle will Fall”. Washed clothes.

Sun – Julie worked. I worked half day. Rainy. Went to Giant Eagle. Fixed chicken & baked potatoes. Marion called. Wrote Harry.

Mon – School. Julie missed the bus. Walked. Worked at Lawsons. Fixed chicken & rice. Tired. Stan taught night school.

Tue – School. Julie home sick. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Had sauerkraut & pork. Called boro about Kane.

Wed – School. Made soup & cream puffs. Stan signed up. Marion called. Dave & Stan went to Toastmasters. Cleaned house. Eleanor called.

Thu – School. Slept late. Ivan had flat tire, took Dave’s car. Last day school. Washed clothes. Went to Gold Circle.

1983

Sat – Julie didn’t go to work (sore). Washed clothes. Went to Murphys & Giant Eagle. Started to knit green sweater. Greg called. Cleaned bathroom. Marion called.

Sun – Read paper. Julie worked. Had left over chicken stuff & fish Pruned grapes & trees. Bill H. came out. We went to Dave’s birthday dinner. Stan went hypnotist. Bill H., Dave & I went to Bill & Carolyn’s.

Mon – Julie had school TJ only. Elaine called. Went to Zaryes, Shop ‘N Save & K-Mart. Had sauerkraut & pork. Stan didn’t work. Stan went to Hatfield (tape recorder). Cut out & sewed curtains.

Tue – School. Julie missed SC. Washed clothes. Knitted. Made spinach custard. Tried to sew kitchen curtains. Attachment didn’t work. Stan worked 4-12. Marion called.

Tue – Record -7 degrees. Julie home sick. Ivan’s 1^st day back. Called Eleanor. Worked on Cl. Tech books. Throttle cable on car broke. Greg came. Stan & Ivan fixed it. Called Evelyn O’Brien.

Wed- School. Washed clothes. Sorted Cl. Tech mail, etc. Called Roberta Gimpner. Made toll house pan cookies & chicken. Stan didn’t come home supper – worked over.

Thu – School. Drove Stan to work. Went to bank & milk store. Went Murphy’s Mart & store. Made kapusta & chicken pot pie. Stan went back in evening. Read.

Fri – No school. Ice glaze. Stan slept later. Had lunch home then went to shop. Cleaned house. Carol came supper & worked on books & tax forms.

Sat – Stan went early to work. Called Marion. Washed clothes. Julie decorated Dave’s cake. Made lasagna. Dave & Greg came for supper. Dave got hand mixer & books. Played cards.

Wed – School. Ivan home. Read. Stan’s car battery cracked. Got new one (Ford). Went to hospital for interview.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Mended. Marion called. Read.

Fri – School. Wrote checks. Drove Frank to work. Went to bank, store & K-Mart. Read.

Sat – Wintery. Washed clothes. Stan got milk. Ivan worked. Greg was here. Read. Julie went to Sajna’s. Played Monopoly. Micky Cocheran came selling.

Sat – Worked at Lawsons. Ivan worked. Stan worked 5-1. Julie made sloppy joes. Knitted & watched TV. Went to bed early.

Sun – Worked half day at Lawsons. Dave came. Made Bar B Q Chicken & chicken soup. Stan worked 5-1.

Tue – Took Julie to dental clinic and went to town to see about medical assistance. Long wait. Dave & Frank came for Dave’s birthday supper. Stan worked 5-1.

Wed – School. Wrote card Greg, letter to Harry. Eleanor came with gown for me. Went to Jeff. Library. Dave, Frank, Stan & I went to Ponderosa. Gave haircuts.

Mon – Up early (-2 degrees). School. Showered & dressed. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Gas man came (too cold). Counselor called. Fell – cellar. Called Mary. Went to store. Got Stan bowling.

Tue – School (-7 degrees) Cleaned living room, dining room, etc. Made rice krispies dessert. Made mushroom soup, cheese soufflé. Called Eleanor & Shirley Zuber. Mended jackets. Cut Stan’s hair.

Wed- School. Stan picked up Dave. Snowed. Cut out & sewed dress & apron. Went to store. Guys shoveled driveway. Made spaghetti sauce.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Ivan got suspended – smoking. Finished sewing dress & apron. Made fire – last of wood. Stan went back to work in evening.

Fri – School. Ivan home. Greg came. Got crutches. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Dave stopped after Dr. Went to bank & store.

Sat – Stan worked. Slept later. Washed clothes. Ran sweeper. Made chili. Finished slipper socks. Elaine called. Called Bill – changed jobs.
