Wed- School. Up early. Read. Called Eleanor & Marion John. Got letter from Harry. Worked on information for taxes. Stan & I went over taxes. Started knitting ballet slippers.

Thu – School. Up early to hear about school. Washed clothes. Marion & Bill called. Dave stopped (Dr.). Made fish, cabbage (good). Ivan had car. Worked on stripping for chairs.

Fri – School. Made cheesecake. Cleaned kitchen. Made kapusta. Went to store & bank.

Sat – Stan worked. Slept late. Washed clothes. Made cabbage crepes. Made Danish pastries. Dave came. Ivan & Julie got hair trimmed (Kamperts). Got food at Wendy’s.

Thu – School. Julie home. Washed clothes. Stan took car (Volvo) for inspection. Greg came for owners card (not here). Ivan worked. New books came.

Fri – School. Julie home. Took Ivan to work & stopped at store. Got Greg at Goukers & took to school in McKeesport. Cleaned bath & kitchen. Read “The Storrington Papers”.

Thu – No school. Icy & snow & wind. Frank’s bus didn’t come. All slept late. Washed clothes. Called Mary. Buildt fire. Made orange cookies.

Fri – School. Cleaned house. Cleaned off front walk. Boys shoveled driveway after school. Stan home late – trouble with brakes. Jacked car up. Called Carolyn.

Sat – Dave came. Drove Stan to work. Carolyn came & took me to stores. Did all shopping. Washed clothes. Did Cl. Tech books – balanced. Stan & I took walk.

Sun – Up early. 3-4 inches of snow. Greg didn’t get Dad. Shoveled snow. Stan checked out Subaru. Bill came. No brake pad. Made apple pie & stuffed chicken. Tired. Showered.

Tue – Stan home sick. Sore throat. Read tow books – “Too Young to Marry” & “Substitute Bride”. Ivan worked. Greg, Bill & Dave stopped.

Wed – School. Stan signed up. He felt sick. Stayed home in afternoon. Read magazine story & “Venetia”. Cold + 10 degrees. Went to bank & store. Went to milk store.

Thu –School. Snowed. Washed clothes. Bill H. called. Called Mary. Finished “Venetia”. Read “The Marriage Chest”. Made spaghetti sauce in eve.

Fri – School. Cleaned house. Dave stopped. Julie brought Sharlene Vincent. Stayed overnight. Read “Rebel Heiress”.

Sat – Read. Washed clothes. Greg here. Finished taking apart bike. Ivan worked. Sharlene went home evening. Julie babysat.

Wed – Slept late. Made cookies, custard pie & frazzled nuts. Stan got hair cut with Bill. Bill here for lunch. Julie went to Pitt Dental. Dave went to Toastmasters. Stan worked 4-12. Knitted & watched opera.

Thu – Washed clothes. Went to McKeesport clinic – scheduled D&C. Called Marion. Stan worked 4-12. Knitted.

Fri – Worked at Lawsons. Arranged for time off. Stan cashed check & worked 4-12. Dave fixed supper. Read. Called Marion. Looked in want ads for her.

January 15 - January 21, 1979-1983

Mon – No school. Teachers work day. Drove Stan to work. Washed clothes. Swept. Ivan mopped. Went to store. Ivan dropped spaghetti sauce. Ivan got oil change (Subaru). Stan bowled. Bill stopped. J. Savage (Sr.) died.

Tue – Back to school. Called Eleanor. Sorted magazines & read. Baked apple pie & cookies. Made beef stroganoff. Greg came. Stayed for supper. Visited.

Wed- School delayed 2 hrs, then cancelled (icy). Frank’s bus didn’t come. Made cream puffs & stuffed chicken. Stan & I went to funeral home (Jim Savage Sr.) Stopped at Pap’s & Eleanor’s.

Thu – School. Wrote Harry. Washed clothes. Read. Marion called. Dave stopped. Made pork sauerkraut & oatmeal cookies. Went to bank & store. Called Carol.

Fri – School. Julie dressed for Steelers Day. Made chili & creamed chicken. Went to town. Took back jeans. Bought for Julie. Met Carol. Went to Hou-Ke-Lau for supper. Nice.

Fri – Cleaned walls of kitchen (big job). Stan home early. Went to Dr. Tanner. Ivan & I went to bank & store.
