Mon – School. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Cut out cans for Julie’s hat. Took Greg to get glasses. Made pepper steak. Tried to punch holes in cans.

Tue – School. Called Eleanor. Went for milk & to store. Baked cookies, apple pizza & eggplant casserole. Brought in geraniums plants. Stan went to shop. Sewed Julie’s skirt.

Wed- School. Took Plymouth for inspection. Went to store. Took Chrysler – didn’t pass. Stan got patent agreement to sign from Hydro. Went to night school. Called Hatfields.

Thu – Washed clothes. Carol called. Scrubbed bathroom tile & waxed it. Washed shower curtain. Took Julie to Library & got milk. Stan worked at shop.

Fri – School. Cleaned bathroom & kitchen. Packed Julie’s lunch. Met Carol in town for lunch. Got long dress at Lane Bryant. Stan worked at shop. Went to store. Dave called. Picked him up at Rt. 70.

Sat – Washed clothes. Nice day. Pirates playoff P-0 Dodgers 2. Washed dining room windows & storm windows. Frank went to game TJ 23 – EF 6. Cleaned. Fern Large called. Dave went to Elaine’s. Stan went to shop.

Sun – Nice day. Stan put anti-freeze in my car. Drove Dave to Rt. 22. Stopped for Elaine. Went to church & Scott Tup. Park. Stan went to shop. Carol & Jim came. Kids got baths.

1975

Tue – School. Cleaned out refridgerator. Mended clothes. Raked grass cuttings. Made apple dessert. Made deviled chicken legs. Typed Harry’s paper. Harry cut front grass. Kids picked apples.

Wed – School. Went to town about food stamps. Went to bank & store. Dave had interview at Murphy’s. Ivan, Julie, Stan & I went to show “Mysteries from Beyond Earth”. Called Marion.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Ironed. Mended. Got tomatoes & brought in geraniums. Made supper early. Dave’s 1^st day at Murphy’s. Started to crochet baby afghan.

Fri – School. Cleaned house. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Made supper early for Dave. Kids watched Woody Allen’s “Sleeper” on TV.

Sat – Nice day. Washed clothes. Stan went with Dan to see Bill Voegle. Got milk at dairy. Stan got car parts. Dave worked at Murphy’s & Ponderosa. Stan & I took walk. Watched TV. Crocheted.

Sun – Stan felt lousy. Put car on blocks. Bill came, checked car – changed oil & points. Watched Steeler game. Put up 2 storm windows. Pirates 1 – Cincinnati 6. Kids got baths. Read paper.

1976

Thu – Greg & I worked. Stan drove us in. Greg got disgusted & decided to quit. Remained. Washed clothes.

Fri – Greg & I worked half a day. Rain. Harry picked us up. Went to bank & store. Greg looked for job. Shopped. Stan went to shop for people to see it. Went late to game. Rain So. Alleg. 22 – TJ 0.

Sat – Took Harry to football practice, went to store (Dave’s car). Cleaned. Elaine & Lee came. Went to Bill’s store. Elaine got me kitchen clock. Had pepper steak, rice, beets, fresh fruit & cherry cobbler. Had nice visit.

Wed – Harry drove me to work. Got front thermal window. Cleaned it. John Marks came – had down payment on shop – signed papers.

1977

Fri – School. Nice day. Went with Stan to Latrobe. Made fresh applesauce. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Dave took Julie & Ivan to Hornes & show “Greased Lightning”. Read 2^nd “Lord of Rings” book.

Sat – Rain. Washed clothes. Went to bank and store. Harry worked with Benack’s. Harry & Ivan rearranged bedroom. Read. Listened to game. TJ 15 – Laurel Highlands 7.

Sun – Rain & colder. Read paper. Made streusel cake & beef roast. Harry played football. Tried to call Greg – no answer. Read “Lord of Rings”. Stan watched Steelers 28 – Cleveland 14.

Mon – School. Rain. Harry took car. Finished 2^nd book – started 3^rd “Lord of the Rings”. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Marion called. Guys watched football. Harry got hoagies.

Tue –School. Read book. Frank went to town. Went to bank & stores. Tried to buy mortite – all out. Had strawberries & pudding. Read again. Greg called – in Galveston.

Wed – School. Very light frost. Made stuffed peppers & pumpkin roll. Dug & re-potted plants. Washed dining room windows & storm windows. Kids worked on insulation. Frank started front grass.

Thu – Rain. School. Harry took Subaru. Had eye Dr. appointment. Took Frank to town. 1^st day work. Washed clothes. Washed Julie’s windows & storm windows. Picked up Frank in town.

1978

Sat – Nice day. Stan went to Latrobe. Ivan & Julie laid rug. Moved Julie’s furniture upstairs. Changed beds. Dave stopped. Ivan worked with Dave. Did papers.

Sun – Marion called. Carol called – Mr. Hubiak died. Elaine called. Worked on corner bedroom. Mrs. Ondich stopped by. Went to hospital to see Frank (eve – Ivan visited).

Tue – School. Took Greg to Oakland (dentist). Took Frank & Tom to register for draft. Went to Gimbels. Stan home sick. Went for milk & to bank. Bill H. came out.

Wed- School. Washed upstairs windows & put up storm windows. Took Frank back to school. Felt bad. Bill H. stopped out with stove. Went to 1^st day bookkeeping class.

Thu – School. Got warmer. Washed clothes. Mended clothes. Iced cake. Cleaned bathroom window. Put on storm window. Made apple sauce. Marion called. Went to store. Stan went to shop.

Fri – School. Figured pay. Went to bank & got milk. Took checks to Bill & Dan. Made lasagna & cleaned kitchen. Stan & I went to football game. TJ 23 – Belle Vernon 0.

Sat – Washed clothes. Stan went for interviews (Asko). Took kids to play football (Middle School). Went to store. Fixed chicken. Cut front grass. Took Ivan & Julie to drive-in “What’s up Doc” & “Mackintosh Man”.

Tue – School. Rain. Cleaned kitchen cupboards. Took Julie to Pitt dental. Had later supper. Stan went back to shop. Worked on Cl. Tech. books.

Wed – School. Stan reported for unemployment. Wrote checks, etc. Made chocolate chip cookies. Went to store. Insurance man came for Dave. Worked on contest. Stan went with Dan (meeting).

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Sorted Mad magazines. Put up storm windows in upstairs bathroom. Picked tomatoes. Dan Arico came. Called Carol. Worked on books.

Fri – School. Cleaned house. Sewed Stan’s black trousers. Went to store. Made casserole (ugh). Waited for Carol – didn’t come. Watched TV.

Sat – Up early. Washed hair & showered. Washed clothes. Carol came. Went over books. Pinned her shirts. Mended clothes.

Sun – Sunny day. Went to dairy for milk. Made pancakes. Bill came to look over Plymouth. Made roast. Cut back grass. Watched TV. Steelers lost. Kids got baths.

Thu – Greg & I went to work. Stan made pork roast. He didn’t feel good. Bill & Carolyn came to look at car (needs new coil – Simca). Very tired.

Fri – Felt lousy. Greg went to work without me. Stan went to doctor. Cleaned dining room windows & storm windows. Kids cleaned upstairs. I did storm windows. Stan had meeting.

Sat – Washed clothes. Julie went on church trip. Nice day. Picked grapes & fixed juice. Stan put new motor on windshield wipers. Had roast & cake. Bill came to see about Simca.

Sun – Went to store. Light rain. Windshield wipers didn’t work. Stan fixed them. Steelers lost – 27 – New England 30. Made potato soup. Kids got pizza. Frank here. Bill came – fixed Simca.

Mon – Greg & I went to work. Wipers didn’t work again. Rain again. Felt blue. Stan fixed pork chops & potatoes. Watched TV. Stan called John Marks.

Tue – Cooler. Greg & I went to work. LaVerne off. Kids washed clothes. Dave took Ivan to Pitt dental. Stopped about glasses. Dave stopped at store. Greg, kids & I went to Best Steak House.

Wed – Started car (terrible). Harry drove Greg & I to work. Stan worked at house (John Marks). Had Dave’s chili. Weeded.

1977

Fri – School. Cleaned house. Made lemon bundt cake. Made sausage stuff. Dave helped. Stan at shop. Harry worked Benacks. Stan, Julie & I went to game TJ-44, WM North 0. Nice night.

Sat – Lazy day. Washed clothes. Rainy. Read. Dave worked. Harry had job (Benack’s). Helped Julie with flute.

Sun – Wrote Greg. Read paper. Stan & Harry worked on gully & capping wall. Made meat loaf & bread pudding. Watched football – Oakland 16 Steelers 7. Kids got showers. Watched longest yard.

Mon – School. Harry missed bus – lost contact. Drove him to school. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Changed sheets. Went to store. Harry took flute for repair. Read “Lord of the Rings”.

Sat – Nice day. Washed clothes. Stan worked on front door. Texture painted brown wall of bedroom. Rolled up rug. Bob H. came. Stayed for supper. Went to store.

Sun – Helped Ivan with papers. Read. Made sour cream twists. Greg came. Watched game. Started to paint Julie’s room. Had fracas with Frank. Police took to hospital. Bill came. Finished Volvo.

Mon – School. Wrote Harry. Washed clothes. Stan sorted books. Swept & mopped cellar. Finished “Twelfth Physician”. Ivan went over to see Frank. Stan went bowling. Marion called.

Tue – School. Got ready. Went to hospital to see Mr. Danker. Painted Julie’s room yellow. Ran out of paint. Cut front grass. Greg stuck with car (hose). Stan went – got disgusted. Got more paint.

Wed – School. Wrote Harry. Finished painting yellow in Julie’s room. Started blue. Stan came home early. Went to hospital. Then got more blue paint. Julie painted. Cut grass.

Thu –School. Painted blue & varnished door of upstairs bedroom. Washed clothes. Greg came in evening. Watched TV.

Fri – School. Stan went to Dr. Tanning at hospital. Varnished windowsill & Julie’s door upstairs. Cleaned house. Stan & I went to hospital to see Mr. Dansker & Frank. Felt badly. Greg & Dave stopped.

Wed – School. Made spaghetti sauce & iced cake. Worked on car patches. Took Greg to dentist. Wrote letters. Brought Elaine home. Looked at patterns & material. Took her back. Frank had night practice.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Took Dad’s Simca to garage (shot transmission). Cut grass. Mr. Iames drove me to garage. Stan, Bill & Dan went to APMI meeting. Got milk & went to store.

Fri – School. Clean living room & bedroom. Carol came for lunch. Baked pies. Got call to get Frank (suspended). Had conference. Took Julie & Ivan to Bugs Bunny School.

Sat – Slept late. Rained. Game cancelled. Kids played outside (mud). Went to store. Stan went to shop. Read magazines. Stan got grease in transmission of Simca.

Sun – Slept late. Cool. Took Harry to Eliz. To get Stadium bus (Pirate game). Cut boy’s & Stan’s hair. Watched Steeler game (tie 35). Carol & Jim stopped.

Tue – School. Worked on contest. Made chili. Dave went to town. Drove Ivan to Pitt. Stopped at store. Wrote Harold & Emily. Mended clothes. Stan went back to shop.

Wed – School. Wrote brother Bill. Dave had interview at Penney’s. Made cream puffs. Soupy.

Thu – School. Rain. Watched football contest. Called Eleanor. Grace called. Made soup. Made bacon tomato sandwiches. Worked on 1776 contest. Marion called. Fixed apples.

Fri – School. Nice day. Made apple & cherry pies. Took cherry pie to Petersens. Cleaned living room, etc. Greg cut front grass. Stan & I went to game. TJ 18 – W.M. North 0. Julie brought Lisa B. for lunch.

Sat – Slept late. Washed clothes. Went to store. Dave drove kids to Bill’s. Made stuffed round steak. Picked & fixed grapes. Dave had 1^st day work at Ponderosa.

Sat – Cleaned living room & dining room. Kids cleaned. Went to store. Battery dead on Pontiac so took Simca. Greg made pepper steak. Bill H. stopped out. Watched TV. Stan up out of bed.

Sun – Put clothes in washer. Wouldn’t go. Stan took me to landromat. Bill came. Worked on Pontiac. Frank came. Got Kentucky Fried Chicken. Washed hair.

Mon – Mickey Cockran came down for ride to work. Light rain. Windshield wipers didn’t work. Repair man came for washer & dryer. Kids swept & mopped. Made cake.

Tue –Took Mickey C. to work with us. Stopped at store. Dave made stuffed chicken & iced cake. Carol came. Made spaghetti sauce & chicken soup.

Wed – Pontiac wouldn’t start. Harry drove us to work & brought car at lunch time. Stan got stuck with Simca. Greg got him. Picked tomatoes. Bruce & Bryon came to help Stan with Simca.

Sat – Frank worked. Washed clothes. Changed sheets. Went to store. Made cream puffs & chili. Stan & I went to milk store. Called Greg. Got car & moved in with another fellow.

Sun – Read paper. Marion called. Worked on front. Spread around dirt. Reseeded. Planted silver maple. Watched “Joe, the Forgotten Kennedy”. Rained at night.

Sun – Slept late. Made spaghetti sauce. Went to Maryann G’s bridal shower (sewing basket – Julie made bow). Bill, Carolyn & Greg worked on car & stayed for supper. Stan typed Greg’s paper. Watched 1^st Starship Galactica.

Mon – School. Wrote checks. Stan went to VA hospital. Dave slept here. Car serviced at Spears. Swept & mopped cellar. Stan went bowling. Fixed grapes. Cleaned hall cupboards. Washed afghans.

Tue – School. Very hot & humid. Stan home. Cleaned. Greg came. Went to milk store & store. Made jelly. Read. Had root beer floats. Frank didn’t go to school (Ivan, too).

Wed – School. Stan went back to work. Very hot & humid. Cleaned bathroom & kitchen. Closed windows. Sprayed with Black Flag. Stayed in cellar. Washed clothes. Wrote Elaine & Harry.

Thu – School. (hot – 88 degrees) Julie home – sore throat. Washed clothes. Washed curtains & kitchen windows. Called Mary. Took Ivan to Siegel’s (glasses fixed). Stopped at Murphy’s. Watched TV. Frank helped Dave. Bill came to fix car.

Wed- School. Cleaned all kitchen cabinets. Got Greg & took to eye doctor. Frank had night practice. Stan went to Jim’s for meeting. Kids cut front grass. Cleaned up.

Thu – School. Fixed pears. Picked & canned tomatoes. Picked & canned grape juice. Washed clothes & washed again in evening. Stan went to shop. Watched “Waltons”.

Fri – School. Stan home sick Baked spice cake. Cleaned living room, bedroom & kitchen. Julie & I to go to game but poured rain. Watched “Planet Apes” & “MASH”.

Sat – Washed clothes. Stan went to shop. Got milk & went to bank. Went to store. Watched Penn State game (won). Went to TJ game (TJ 51-Charleroi 6). Julie went, too. Kids watched TV.

Sun – Read paper. Took Ivan & Julie to picnic out at Round Hill Farm – nice day. Stopped to get Kentucky chicken. Bill came for boys to baseball banquet. Elaine called. Stan went to shop.

Tue – School. Washed clothes. Swept cellar. Dave mopped. Changed sheets & mattress covers. Marion called. Made marinated steak. Called Mary. Picked & fixed tomatoes. Watched TV. Leslie W. stayed here.

Wed – School. Chilly. Picked & fixed grapes. Made 2 jars juice. In evening, made jelly. Big job. Dan Arico came.

Thu – School. Up early. Washed clothes. Got ready for town. Drove Dave. Dave took PO test. Met Carol for lunch. Went shopping. Picked up Harry’s glasses. Went to store.

Fri – School. Rain. Made banana coffee cake & sauerkraut chocolate cake. Cleaned living room, dining room & bedroom. Dave went to State College. Read.

Sat – Very cold (38 degrees). Washed clothes. Bill & Carolyn stopped. Elaine & Andrea came. Elaine washed clothes. Carol & Jim came with new car (Pantera). Read & finished “Once is Not Enough”.

Sun – Cool. Picked grapes. Fixed them. Made & canned juice. Marion called. Dave got home from Penn State. Kids got baths.

Fri – Greg & I worked. Long day. Cooler. Stan fixed pork chops. Pontiac stalled taking Harry to H.S. Went to bank & store. Listened to football game. Monessen 22 – TJ 0. Harry didn’t play.

Sat – Washed clothes. Dryer went on fritz. Hung outside. Stan fixed TV. Kids played football. Cleaned. Watched Pitt.- Notre Dame game. Went to JBARA picnic. Had chicken.

Sun – Cleaned kitchen & bath. Read paper. Harry sick. Watched Steeler game. Made apple pie & meat loaf. Stan & I went to funeral home (Ricky Bilan). Watched “Moonstones”.

Mon – Greg & I went to work. Car stalled. Debbie went home sick. Stopped at store. Stan & I washed clothes, went to laundromat to dry clothes & went to store. Bill Hat. Came out.

Tue – Greg & I worked. Ivan & Harry sick. Dave fixed stuffed peppers & cabbage. Jerry Edwards & friend came for supper. Carol came. Caroline came. They went in to Helen’s.

Wed – Greg & I worked. Stan worked a bit on house repair for John Marks. Tired. Left ½ hour early from work. Showered & washed hair. Read & went to bed early.

Fri – School. Cleaned house. Frank worked 1 hr. Took bed downstairs for Frank Julie lost her ticket. Stan & I went to game. TJ 49 – Charleroi 6. Nice night.

Sat – Nice day. Drove Stan to work. Stopped at store. Harry got wheel & tires for Pontiac. Dave took Ivan & Julie to Maryland (Elaine’s). Bill came. Watched Pitt 9 – Notre Dame 19. Watered front. Watched TV – Miss America.

Sun – Slept late. Read paper & made nutjammer cookies. Bill H. stopped out. Stan worked on caulking. Dave & kids came home. Wrote Greg. He called while Stan & I at H. Salt.

Sat – Stan drove Ivan to Borough Bldg. Wrong name on check. Stan went to shop & to Bill Hatfield’s. Took Julie to get beads. I took Ivan shopping. Washed clothes. Sewed Carol’s drapes. Bill, Carolyn & Greg here. Worked on Volvo.

Mon – School. Hot & humid. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Finished reading Demelya. Made macaroni salad. Stan went bowling. Watched football.

Tue – Marion called. School. Thoroughly cleaned the bathroom upstairs. Sorted. Greg came. Changed oil in Subaru. Thunderstorms. Stan drove me to store. Dave off work because of no power. Took kids to his apartment.

Wed – School. Cooler. Washed bedding. Sorted Frank’s things. Stan came home lunchtime. Went to VA hospital for iritis. Called Mary. Bill H. came out in evening.

Thu – School. Stan stayed home. Washed clothes. Sorted magazines & books. Greg came. Watched Barney Miller & Soap. Made peanut cookies.

Fri – School. Stan home again. Lazy day. Read “Night Without Stars” by Winston Graham. Stan & I went to football game TJ 18 – Ringgold 15. Nice night. Watched fight on TV. Zieglers had yard sale. Got lamp – Greg.

September 2 - September 8, 1974-1978

1974

Mon – Labor day. Cool. Stan went to shop. Went to store. Took kids swimming. Picked lots of tomatoes. Fixed them. Carol & Jim came. Elaine, Don & Dottie came. Bill H. stopped. Eleanor called.

Tue - 1st day of school. Poured rain. Drove Julie to school with big box of tomatoes. Grace called. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Stan home lunch time (sick). Went to bank & store. Took kids for glasses.

Wed- School. Stan home sick. Got ready. Drove Dave up to State College. Home again. Went for gas & milk. Had meeting for CTS at our house.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Cleaned up David’s corner. Went to store. Cut front grass. Greg cut back. Weeded. Took Julie to Murphy Mart. Stan went to shop.

Fri – Made kapusta, cake, lasagna. Merry Jo McGee’s mother died. Kids took collection. Gave kapusta & tomatoes. Carol & Jim came with new Saab. Cleaned kitchen. Made jello salad. Away game Ring 7 – TJ 6.

Sat – Washed clothes. Stan went to shop. Cleaned. Elaine & Don stopped. Canned pears. Picked tomatoes, pears & peppers. Kids cut grass.

Sun – Slept late. Read paper. Worked tomatoes. Stan worked on awning. Fixed tomatoes. Canned. Elaine & Don stopped by. Weeded.

1975

Tue – first day of school. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Started to bake cake. Dave stuck with car ( to take Ivan to dentist). Mr. Sajna helped us. Went swimming in evening . Got Sajnas ice cream.

Wed – School. Warmed up. Drove Stan to work. Trouble with carburetor. Drove Dave to Southland for bus. Went to store & bank. Made beef stroganoff. Got Stan. Greg & I went swimming. Marion called. Drove Frank to work (late).

Thu – School. Tired. Drove Stan to work. Went to bank & Gobbies. Dave & Frank went to McKeesport. Washed clothes. Got Ivan’s glasses. Kids & I went swimming for last time. Went to store. Marion’s (Scheuring) mother died.

Fri – School. Stan got his car started (hooray). Dave went to Southland. Mended. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Made casseroles. Family went to football game. Rain storm. Didn’t finish game. 0-0 at half.

Sat – Washed clothes. Picked grapes & made juice. Dan Arico came. Stan & I went to 2^nd half of game. Monessen 8 – TJ 7. Went to store.

Sun – Dave & kids worked around house. Made jelly – grape. Stan went to Jim Noll’s. Worked on accounts payable. Made sponge cake & brownies. Stan & I went to funeral home to see Marion’s mom.

Mon – School. Up early. Dave & I got dressed up. Went to Mrs. Scheuring’s funeral. (Dave pall bearer.) Washed 1 load of clothes. Made roast beef & cooked mushrooms. Bill & Carolyn came. Brought us 2 peach pies. Gave grapes & jelly.

1976

Thu – Greg & I didn’t feel well. Stan had iritis. Cleaned out lazy susan. Teachers started strike. Harry had late afternoon practice. Made peanut butter cookies with choc. chips.

Fri – Stan went to eye & ear hospital for iritis. Stan & Harry took Plymouth to junk yard. Cleaned house. Dave cooked Bar-B-Q pork for supper. Went to TJ Football game. Harry played. Julie & Ivan went, too. TJ 42 – Canevin 6.

Sat – Washed clothes. Took Pontiac to Jim’s to get spare tire. Drove out to Bill’s K-Mart but too late for Harry to help. Went to store. Had soup & hot dogs. Frank here. Watched TV.

Sun – Made potato salad. Picked & fixed grapes. Canned 8 qts & made ½ gal juice. Cleaned up mess. Watched TV & knitted. Fellows made paper airplanes. Dave worked Ponderosa.

Mon – Labor day. Read paper in bed. Washed clothes. Went to Sears – crowded. Made chili. Boys went swimming (cool). Dave worked. Knitted Julie’s sweater.

Tue – Greg & I started back to work. Fan belt broke on Pontiac – Harry drove us in Simca. Dave cooked fish supper. Very good. Harry had football practice.

Wed – Greg & I worked. Hot day. Knitted Julie’s sweater. Washed 1 load of clothes. Tired.

1977

Fri – Hot & humid. Cleaned house. Kids went to see “Star Wars”. Rainstorm & winds. Stan hurt arm. We went to Murphy Mart & Clabers.

Sat – Drove Frank to work. Washed clothes. Went to store. Harry got milk – Greg got dufflebag. Kids went swimming. Harry cut grass. Mower broke – Harry fixed. Watched football on TV. Pitt & Ookies.

Sun – Marion called. Carol came on motorbike. We all went swimming. Nice day. Picked tomatoes & squash. Fixed squash (for cookies). Watched TV. Bill & Stella came (late).

Mon – Labor Day. Nice day. We went swimming. Julie went with Lisa to her pool. Ivan cut some grass. Watered. Watched TV. Kids got showers.

Tue – 1^st day of school. Frank didn’t work (sick). Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Greg packed. Harry & Greg went to play football. Watched “Logan’s Run”.

Wed – Up early. School. Drove Frank to work. Greg drove out to airport. Got flight to Louisiana. Stopped at store. Stan had flat tire. Harry had car. Bob Iames took me over to shop. Brought car home.

Thu – School. Stan drove Frank to work. Stan went to Ohio. Washed clothes. Made split pea soup, macaroni salad, apple pizza, fried chicken. Harry went to town for eye exam.

1978

Sat – Washed clothes. Greg came over. Sorted clothes. Ivan cleaned up bedroom. Stan worked on tar. Had to get cement mixer for Bill H. Canned tomatoes. Bill & Carolyn stopped.

Sun – Dave drove Stan to get Subaru. Went to Hatfield’s with handle. Stopped at Murphy’s & Giant Eagle. Stan worked on tar. Went for mild. Watched TV.

Mon – Labor day. Nice. Dave worked. We took Dave’s car & Greg took Subaru. Went to Carol’s for picnic. All went well. Greg watched game & stayed overnight.

Tue – Back to school. Greg went in with Dad. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Frank went to school. Sorted clothes. Went to store. Had steak & mushrooms. Called Mary.

Wed – School. Hot. Worked on Dave’s drapes. Drove Ivan to Schwinn. Made chili & rice crispy cookies. Cut back grass. Julie got hair cut.

Thu – School. Planted new grass seed & spread around dirt. Watered. Washed clothes. Greg came home with Dad. Went to store. Talked to Elizabeth Simmons. Fixed pizza.

Fri –School. Watered grass seeds. Cleaned house. Took apart Carol’s drapes. Hot & humid. Stan, Julie & I went to show “Heaven Can Wait”.
