Wed- School. Washed clothes. Baked cookies. Changed sheets. Stan had game (Jay Hawks 23 – Parrots 4). Worked on yard.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Got screens for living room. Washed windows. Went to store & bank. Went to ball game- Orioles 11 – Parrots 9. Janey stayed overnight.

Fri – Memorial Day. Slept in. Carol & Janey went shopping. Stan took kids to play ball. Went to store. Relaxed. Watered lawn.

Sat – Washed clothes. Carol, Dave & I went to shopping center. Stan & Dave worked on forms for concrete walks. Carol went to ball game. Took Greg, Harry, & Ivan to drive-in “Swiss Family Robinson” & “Lost Continent”.

Sun – Very hot, humid. Lazy. Stan & Dave worked on forms. Watered grass, tomatoes, etc. Stan & Dave went to Grandpap’s. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Rained. Ironed & folded. Game rained out. Went to store.

Tue – School. Greg home sick. Went to Acme, Sears, Busy Beaver. Home for lunch. Went to Eastland. Baked cake. Orioles 1 – Blue Jays 0.

1970

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Took Julie to Baby Clinic. Ironed. David cut front. I trimmed. Carol’s boil broke. Went to Haines. Kids had ball game (Or. 8 – Parrots 3)

Fri – School. Went to Bank & Bartolatto’s. Went to Foodland & K-Mart. Stan went bowling. Carol J. came. Knitted bootie (too big). Harry slept out.

Sat – Stan played golf. Washed clothes. Made potato salad. Wendy came. Kids cleaned. Wendy for supper. She & Elaine went to drive-in. Kids slept out.

Sun – Hoed garden. Went to Haines. Took Dave for ride to Mt. Lebanon. Carol went to Thiel College. Dave & Elaine went to LRY in Mt. Lebanon. Harry fell off bike. Kids got baths. Bill called.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Changed sheets. Stan home (holiday). Took fire bird for fixings. Ironed. Carol got hair cut (Bobby). Found out about Kathleen.

Sat – Washed clothes. Went to store. Kids practiced ball. Dave Conklin was here for supper & all night. Stan, Julie, Ivan & I went to drive-in. “Little Big Man’ & “Adam at 6:00 AM”.

Sun – Slept late. Cut front grass. Stan & Dave set up swimming pool. Watered plants. Dave took kids to drive-in. Bob H. stopped out. Nice day. Built fire in back.

Mon – Memorial Day. Stan took Ivan to parade. Washed clothes. Kids went swimming (home).

Mon – Nice. No school (Memorial Day). Stan took Ivan golfing. Made potato salad. Iced cup cakes. Straightened. Went to K-Mart. Got baseball glove & pool cover. Got Marion. Carol & Jim came out. Don came. Had cook-out.

Tue – School. Greg home. Stan home. Washed clothes. Swept. Greg got shot (poison ivy). Regina came to plan PTA. Stan went to Towanda. Rain. Went to store. Elaine took Ivan for glasses.

Wed – School. Straightened house. Called Eleanor. Called about PTA. Sorted PTA material. Stan called late. Drove to Oakland to pick him up. Miserable trip.

Thu – School. Washed bedroom windows & drapes. Elaine’s last day of school. Elaine went to South Hills Village. Bought material.

Fri – School. Cleaned living room & kitchen. Elaine cut out material. Went to store.

Sat – Washed clothes. Kids cleaned. Stan set up filter. Stan went with John Marks about business. Talked. Kids swam. Washed living room windows & drapes.

Mon – No school. Memorial day. Made macaroni salad. Nice day. Kids worked on peat moss for pool base. Got Marion & Don. She got soused. Kids got baths.

Wed – School. Planted 1 row beans. Took Ivan to dental clinic. More teeth pulled. Poured rain. Worked on CTDS monthly invoices.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Changed sheets. Went to store. Stan home late. Worked in garden. Planted beans. Put carpet. Stan played golf. Kids had games. Baked cookies.

Fri – School. Cleaned kitchen. Went to school. 5^th grade picnic. Went to store & bank. Roy John came with dishes. Went to store again. Picked up Frank from Frs. game.

May 21 - May 27, 1969-1973

Wed- School. Went for paint. Went to Sears for oil change. Long wait. Bubble on tire. Painted walls of Ivan’s room. Stan went to see Joe Szyminski.

Thu – School. Took all furniture out of Ivan’s room. Washed floor & varnished. Jay Hawks practice. Went to store.

Fri – School. Washed clothes. Frank came home from camp. Washed his clothes. Ironed. Hung drapes in Ivan’s room. Called Mary.

Sat – Carol, Elaine & I went to store. Boys went to ball practice. Went to Sears. Got spreader & weed killer & geraniums. Stan took kids to Jay Hawks practice. Knitted.

Sun – Stan had to work. Dave & I worked on stone around hill near Benacks. Visited Iames. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Folded & ironed. Harry home. Took Harry to dentist. Game Orioles 14 – Jay Hawks 5.

Tue – School. Carol took car. Worked on hill & loose dirt. Cleaned refrigerator. Major game. Parrots 12 – Orioles 9. Planted white plants on hill.

1970

Thu – Drove Plymouth to get fixed. Washed clothes. Burned rubbish. Went to K-Mart. Stan put up blind. Rocker & glider was delivered. Stan fixed glider. Bill H. came out.

Fri – School. Hot day. Made pies (PTA). Cleaned kitchen. Stan took Firebird to get door fixed. Got Gregory from camp. Went to store. Took Mrs. Iames & I to PTA card party.

Sat – Washed clothes. Stan set up Julie’s swimming pool. Dave & I went to South Hills Village. Elaine fixed supper. Stan, Julie & I went to Paps & stopped at Stella’s.

Sun – Rain. Read paper. Stan cleaned car. Sewed. Cleaned out Julie’s drawer. Carol & Elaine cleaned out clothes. Greg Kill. came. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Changed sheets. Went to store. Rain. Made meat loaf. Elaine stayed after school. Carol & Greg went shopping or paint. Sewed sweater vest.

Tue – School. Washed hair. Swept & mopped cellar. Went to post office & store. Stan played golf. Hoed garden. Finished vest.

Wed – School. Cool day. Baked rhubarb pie. Started to knit booties (gift). Stan took fishing gear to Gubalas. Played cards with kids.

Fri – School. Went to bank, Clabers. Went to McDonalds. Went to K-Mart & Foodland. Dave went to Kennywood for job. Frank had game. Cut out material.

Sat – Nice day. Washed clothes. Went to store. Ironed. Planted petunias. Stan dug garden. Greg & Harry had practice. Stan & I raked garden. Carol went with Janey to Barry’s.

Sun – Nice day. Made French toast. Fixed garden. Planted corn, beans, tomatoes & cucumbers. Worked on front grass. Made stuffed pork chops. Stan & I tried to spray fruit trees.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Ironed. Made lemon chiffon pie. Ivan had game. Frank practice. Went to store. Carol went to South Hills Village.

Tue – School. Made galumpkies. Cut out blouse for girls. Harry & Greg had game. Stan took me to K-Mart. Got peat moss & cards.

Wed – School. Very cool. Men came to fix top of driveway. Baked cookies & made coffee. Made custard. Sewed white blouse. Frank had game. Ivan had game. Watched TV.

Thu – School. Dave’s last day. Washed clothes. Ironed. Got gum out of Dave’s trousers. Finished blouse. Made rolls. Took Elaine to Andrea’s. Saw trailer. Dave went on picnic.

1972

Sun – Cleaned living room. Stan & kids cut grass. Put clippings in garden. Sprinkled. Kids put on bathing suits. Dug up tulips. Bought trees & Frank planted them at Pierce’s. Visited Marian & Don.

Mon – School. Elaine stayed home & went on Senior picnic. Washed clothes & swept & mopped. Fixed chocolate cream pies. Bill had night school. Ivan game. Bill broke milk bottles.

Tue – School. Mended clothes. Straightened house. Finished planting petunias. Watered. Had early supper. Greg & Harry had games. Planted gold dust sedum. Started to take apart Stan’s sweater.

Wed – school. Julie visited 1^st grade. Had first PTA meeting. Made cake. Planted blueberries.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Washed dining room & bathroom curtains. Eleanor called. Planted marigolds. Watered.

Fri – School. Cleaned living room & bedroom. Took Greg to Dr. Poison Ivy. Went to milk store. Elaine worked. Stan & I went to Eastland. Saw “Last Picture Show”.

Sat – Frank had practice. Got uniform. Washed clothes. Went to store. Stan took Harry golfing. Bought swimming pool. Cleaned bathroom & dining room windows. Stan & boys dug for pool. Elaine visited Ann.

Fri – School. Cleaned living room. Went to store & put $10.00 down on summer school for Greg. Sorted mail. Carol & Jim came. Cut grass.

Sat – Tired. Washed clothes. Took things to Kelly Run Santilation. Cleaned my bedroom. Went to Allan Gubala’s graduation. Kids finished grass.

Wed- School. Carol stayed home to work on paper. Went to store. Cut out & sewed pink dress(Carol). Dave drove to Grants & Sears. Stan went to school.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Folded & ironed. Stan took kids to ball practice. Read story & paper. Bed early.

Fri – No school. Beautiful day. Went to bank & store. Took Julie & Ivan to picnic. E & F went on bus. G & H went to Benack. Full day. Carol took Rita M. home.

Sat – Drove Dave to Sparkle. Didn’t work. Walked home. Stan worked. Fixed pineapple, strawberries, gr beans. Washed clothes. Kids had ball practice. Carol & kids played ball.

Sun – Gathered up Frank’s clothes for camp. Stan took Frank up to HS for bus. Went to store. Called Stella. Mary called. Kids got baths. Watched TV.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Ironed. Changed sheets. Went to store. Dave drove. Bought first watermelon.

Tue – School. Carol took car. Painted ceiling of Ivan’s room. Cleaned kitchen. Swept & mopped cellar. Stan & I went to vote. Kids had ball practice in our yard.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Changed sheets. Boys had ball practice. Went to Acme & then K-Mart.

Fri – No school. Picnic. Went shopping for trousers & sandals. Fixed spaghetti lunch. Elaine & Gladys went on bus. Kids & I got to park about 2. Home late. Stan & Carol went bowling.

Sat – Rainy. Washed clothes. Every one tired. Ironed & put away clothes. Went to Aunt Mary’s to get palm tree, fishing gear, etc. Harry hurt eye.

Sun – Took kids for rubella shot. Got Greg’s clothes ready. Drove him up for bus to go to camp. Planted phlox. Watched TV. Kids got baths. Our Bill called.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Folded & ironed. Made tapioca. Went to store. Stan worked late. Transplanted enejoin? & phlox. Carol went shopping for carpet at Eastland. Dave went job hunting.

Tue – School. Stan started vacation. Stan dug garden & sealed porch. Washed living room and dining room windows, screens & drapes. Planted tomatoes & beans.

Wed – Stan tried flame gun. Washed bedroom windows & drapes. Planted corn & cucumbers. Got letter from Greg at camp.

1971

Fri – No school. Frank & Danny, Elaine & Andrea took bus. Went to store. Made spaghetti for lunch. Took Julie, Ivan, G, H & Peke to Kennywood. Nice day. Took sandwiches. Got home about 9:30.

Sat – Stan had to work. Washed clothes. Ironed. Kids cleaned. Watered new trees & plants. Frank had game. Stan & I went to Senior Revue. Nice program. Carol went to “Musketeer”.

Sun – Elaine & Dave went to church. Worked out in back. Stan put up stuff for clean up. Put carpeting in garden. Took Elaine to Andrea’s. Greg & Harry had game. Rain in one. Baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Senior day. Dave went to picnic then to party. Made Namaimo cookies. Stan went bowling. Called Eleanor.

Tue – School. Bill washed screens. I washed drapes & windows (upstairs, bedroom & dining room). Stan & I voted. Frank had game (last). Mended. Carol – no school – slept.

Wed – School. Hot day (86 degrees). Washed living room & Julie’s room & kitchen windows & drapes. Cleaned up kitchen. Bill took back ladders & got balance for Stan. Ivan, Harry, Greg had games. Planted zinnias.

Thu – School. Mailed Dave’s grad announcement. Washed clothes. Made cup cakes. Took Julie to baby clinic. Ironed. Iced cup cakes. Bill Hat. came. Cut front grass. Went to Clabers.

Sun – Made ice tea & juice. Read paper. Made pineapple cookies. Typed up recipes. Gathered things for clean-up. Kids got baths. Bill game me China pitcher, sugar & plate.

Mon – School. Left early. Went to town for witness. Wasted day. Elaine fixed supper. Washed clothes & sewed dress.

Tue – School. Sewed my dress. Went to town. Witness for court case. Home early. Made supper. Stan & I went to ballgame at Vulcan box. Very nice.

Wed – School. Harry home sick. Went to dairy co-op. Went to K-Mart & store. Elaine worked. Stan went with John Collins (dinner). Called Dad & Carol.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Ironed. Planted tomato plants. Put cut grass around them. Elaine, Stan & I went to Honors Banquet. Nice. Stan & I went to K-Mart.

Fri – School. Worked outside. Cut grass. Fixed steps to Benack’s. Cleaned kitchen. Read magazines.

Sat – Slept late. Washed clothes. Went to store. Elaine went shopping. Stan dug garden. Planted. Kids had ball game. Janey & Mrs. O stopped up.

Wed – School. Tired. Talked to Eleanor. Washed clothes. Dug up tulips. Planted zinnias. Cut front grass. Ivan had game. Boys had practice.

Thu – School. Straightened house. Took Ivan to dentist. Didn’t work on him. Paid $300.00 down on orthodontist. Stopped at Dad’s. Took things for sale. Went to K-Mart. Got tennis shoes.

Fri – No school. Picnic. Washed clothes. Made spaghetti for lunch. Frank took bus. Took kids to Kennywood. Cool. Wrote Harold & Em. Called Eleanor when I got home. Uncle Ray some better.

Sat – Warmer. Washed clothes again. Stan went to Carol & Jim’s commencement. Worked in garden. Planted tomato plants. Guys worked at shop. Took leisure bath.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Ironed. Ball practice rained out. Turned colder. Stan’s first day without Matt & John Molyle.

Fri – School. Felt lousy. Cleaned kitchen & medicine cabinet. Baked birthday cake. Elaine got money from Stan & shirt & petti pants. Went to store for candy.

Sat –Washed clothes. Went to Eastland & Sears. Carol & Elaine went to ball game (Dodgers 4 – Pirates 1) Stan & I went to bowling banquet. Thunderstorm.

Sun – Took Dave for driving lesson. Went to Haines. Made beef roast. Cut boys hair. Watched TV. Kids got baths. Stan went to see Pap. Carol got me feather flowers.

Mon – school. Washed clothes. Ironed & put away. Went to store. Made apple pies. Stan picked up Carol at Coal Valley. Watched “Father Goose” on TV.

Sat – Washed clothes. Washed hair. Went to store. Made chili. Stan & I took Julie & Ivan to Ron Colonna’s wedding. Home to eat then to reception. Stan & I had good time. Frank helped.

Sun – Baked cake. Made potato salad. Kids cut grass. Lovely day. Andrea came. Elaine opened gifts, hot pants, top & records. Andrea stayed for supper. Children got me rocker.
