November 27 - December 3, 1964-1968

1964

Fri – No school. Washed clothes. Rested. Worked on turkey. Stan & I went to Associates Discount for loan. What a terrible ordeal.

Sat – Ironed & folded clothes. Cleaned up house. Ate early. Took Elaine, Greg, & Carol Xmas shopping at Olympia & Zayre. Kids got baths.

Sun – Took Harry & Gregory to SS. Made cookies & spaghetti. Cut Stan’s hair. Crocheted. Sent away for X-mas things. Didn’t sell car.

Mon – School. Snow. Bus late. Washed clothes. Ivan didn’t feel well. Changed sheets. Baked coke. Went to store.

Tue – School. Ironed. Folded & put away clothes. Made rice pudding. PTA. Dave’s room gave play. Mrs. Shuback forgot my devotions. Gregory got finger caught in door.

Wed – School. Hot lunch day. Frank stayed home. Possible mumps. Sewed Elaine’s skirt. Baked 2 kinds cookies.

Thu – School. Took Frank, Harry & Ivan to ear clinic. Waited until 11:00 (no doctors) and left. Stopped at S&H stamps. Frank went back for afternoon. Washed clothes. Went to store.

1965

Sat – Dad came out. Stan home. Worked together. Folded & ironed. Went to Haines & Kresges. Cleaned up upstairs. Kids got baths.

Sun – Went to SS. Carol, Elaine, Gregory, Harry, & Ivan. Took Bill to work. Fixed roast. Took Harry & Ivan to Mom’s. Stopped off at my Dad’s.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Hung sheets outside. Cold. Ironed. Folded & mended. Took kids shopping for Christmas.

Tue – School. Went to Payday’s. Worked on music for Christmas program. Went to store, bread store and bookmobile. Went to church to practice.

Wed – School. Hot lunch day. Elaine didn’t get it. Baked cake tortes for gifts. Did fancy icing. Played cards with kids & watched TV.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Hung some outside. Sunny day. Ironed clothes. Cut out Carol’s dress. Went to Tops (+2). Called Mary Ellen Cylemia. Stayed up to get Bill.

Fri – School. Folded clothes. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Sewed Carol’s dress. Got boys from bowling. Watched TV.

1966

Sun – Didn’t go to SS. Went to store. Folded clothes. Fixed roast & strawberries. Helped Elaine with skirt. Hemmed Carol’s skirt. Watched TV. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Ironed. Mr. Roberts (school) called. Baked brownies, made chili. Bill moved out. Had clothes all ironed & mended. Snowed. Stan went bowling.

Tue – School. Snow. Grandpa called. Not coming out to get Frank. Knitted. Went to store. Got pattern & material for Carol. Mary called.

Wed – School. Harry stayed home. Baked pound cake & reg. Cake. Made marshmallow krispies. Took back Carol’s pattern. Stopped at Clabers.

Thu – School. Carol stayed home. Washed clothes. Mrs. Conklin called. Went shopping for pattern & material for myself.

Fri – School. Ironed. Folded & mended. Cut out dress. Sewed. Snowed. Cold. Brought up wood for fire. Bobby H. stopped. Stan went to Henry’s.

Sat – Up early. Took Stan to work to have car. Went shopping. Took Frank to Dr. Went to Haines then got Stan from work. Fixed supper. Relaxed in eve.

1967

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Hung sheets & diapers out. Windy. Straightened house. Stan home early. Stan went bowling. Folded clothes. Knitted & watched TV.

Tue – School. Stan home. Took Julie & Ivan to baby clinic. None cause of nurse’s death. Stopped at store. Ironed & folded clothes. Made fire. Went to bookmobile. Stan got new tire & wheel balance (Sears).

Wed – School. Elaine home. Stan home, too. G & H hot lunch. Made pineapple cream cheese & galumpkies. Went to store. Took needles (sewing machine) to Mrs. Iames.

Thu – School. Snowed (8 in.). Washed clothes. Soapy water leaks out. Shoveled. Carol walked home from school. Roxy stayed for supper. Didn’t go to Tops. Ironed & folded clothes.

Fri – School. Sewed Carol’s nightie. Carol had dental. Could hardly get car out of driveway. Went to store. Stan went to Henry’s.

Sat – Stan had to go to work. Kids helped clean house. Bill H. stopped out. Hemmed skirt. Washed clothes.

Sun – Harry, Ivan & I went to SS. Read & baked cake. Went to see Mom. Stopped over Hatfield’s. Pump the wrong size.

1968

Wed – School. Washed clothes. Went to Acme. Went to Bartolatta’s. Fixed strawberry dessert. Chopped celery, onions, etc. Went to Clabers for knife.

Thu – Thanksgiving. Fixed pies & turkey. Stan got Pap. Had just Pap & family. Drew names. Watched TV. Called Mary.

Fri – Kids cleaned house. Went to town. Ate lunch with Carol & Pat. Went shopping. Went to see about typewriter. Home late. Cleaned up supper & read paper.

Sat – Washed clothes. Went to store. Helped Harry clean living room. Muscles ached. Took Elaine shopping for gift exchange.

Sun – Stan wanted to work outside. Started to rain. Ironed. Swept & mopped cellar. Carol went out. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Put new blanket on beds upstairs. Stan went bowling. Went to store.

Tue – School. Finished shirts, vest. Pressed them. Made ravioli & sauce. Knitted beret.
