November 20 - 26, 1964-1968

1964

Fri – School. Called LD & Joe Recht. Cleaned kitchen & bath. Cleaned my bedroom. Straightened drawers. Crocheted. Kids built fire. Jim Lucot came down. Went to store.

Sat – Bill went with Boy Scouts. Cleaned up boy’s bedroom. Washed clothes. Built fire. Played hearts with kids. Folded clothes. Little ones got baths. Stan called Mom.

Sun – Took Harry, Greg & Ivan to SS. Ironed clothes. Crocheted. Carol & Elaine washed hair. Worked crosswords. Played cards.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Baked a cake. Folded clothes. Ironed. Stan called Joe Recht. Stan & I went to store.

Tue – School. Sewed new covers for dining room chairs. Cleaned house. Stan went to see Sam Abin (Asso). Went to bookmobile & store for order. Bill went swimming. Carol babysat.

Wed – School. Raining. Cleaned up. Took Ivan & Harry to school for Frankie’s play. Stan & I went to bank & store. Made pumpkin & apple pies.

Thu – Thanksgiving. No school. Fixed turkey. Had big dinner about 2:30. Relaxed. Went in with family to Aunt Stella’s & Grandma’s.

1965

Sat – Got supplies at Busy Beaver. Took Bill & Harry to dentist. Dad came out. Painted shelves. Press blew up at Stan’s work. Baked rolls. Kids took baths. Bill H. came out.

Sun – Went to SS. Tried to see about Christmas music. Rainy day. Stan had to work. Fixed meatloaf. Played cards. Watched TV.

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Straightened house. Baked brownies. Ironed clothes & played cards.

Tue – School. Folded & put away clothes. Talked to L Dee & Grace Pavelko. Went to Dr. – confirmed diagnosis. Went to Hospital for blood test & X-ray. Went to Haines. Waited & got Bill.

Wed – School. Went to Clairton. Paid mortgage. Went shopping. Made pumpkin pies. Watched TV and chopped things for stuffing.

Thu – Thanksgiving day. Up early to stuff turkey. Had dinner at 12. Bill worked in afternoon. Called Stella. Mom called. Played cards. Jim L. came down.

Fri – Stan worked half day then went to visit plant (Wylis). Took kids to see Santa. Washed clothes in afternoon. Went shopping with Carol. Midnight sale. Tired.

1966

Sun – Didn’t go to SS. Fixed breakfast for Dave & Elaine (special). Knitted. Folded & ironed clothes. Stan worked on door frame for cellar storm door. Called Mom. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Greg field tip. Washed clothes. Folded & ironed. Changed sheets. Stan went bowling. Home late. Dad called about Arthur.

Tue – School. Stan slept late. Baked cake. Mended clothes. Went to store & visited Mrs. Bick. Took Frank to foot Dr. Went to funeral home. Got check cashed.

Wed – School. Washed clothes. Got call from HS about Bill. Folded & changed sheets. Went to store. Baked pies. Stan took Frank to Little’s for shoes. Stopped at Moms.

Thu – Thanksgiving. Stuffed turkey. Watched TV. Fixed dinner. Ate about 4:30. Good. Cleaned up. Played cards. Took bath.

Fri – Stan stayed home. Went to Arthur’s funeral. Took Carol shopping. Went to Haines. Bill H. came to get junk.

Sat – Kids helped me clean house. Took Julie, Carol & Elaine to Eastland. Stan got piece of carbide in eye. All red & swollen. Washed clothes. Got Bill money from bank.

1967

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Started all over again (9 load altogether). Stan went bowling. Ironed clothes & knitted.

Tue – School. Ironed clothes. Went to Planned Parent. Clinic. Folded & put away clothes. Stan went back to work. Went to store.

Wed – School. Frank home sick. Wrote checks. Went to bank & store. Baked pies. Stan tired. Chopped beg for stuffing. Watched TV.

Thu – Thanksgiving. Stuffed turkey. Took kids to Gold Coast store. Had dinner. Stan watched football. Had big dinner. Played cards.

Fri – No school. Stan went to get tires. Trouble. Washed clothes. Went to Shopping Center. Ironed. Played cards.

Sat – Went to store. Stan took kids to football game (Lehigh Raider 2 – Mon-Yough 0). Carol went shopping. Sorted puzzles. Played cards.

Sun – Didn’t go to SS or church. Finished cleaning cupboard. Stan & Dave put up X-mas lights. Stan & I worked on living room & kitchen storm windows. Cleaned grease trap. Visited Mom.

1968

Wed – School. Washed clothes. Went to Plotkins for plastic & asphalt paint. Ironed & baked pies. Watched TV & knitted. Started Pat Cacuzzi’s diet.

Thu – School. Sewed. Ironed. Went to the store. Stan went bowling & then back to shop. Carol & Elaine went to Girls Recreation. Bill H. was here the whole evening.

Fri – School. Washed clothes. Ironed. Cleaned kitchen. Stan went back to work. Went to store.

Sat – Washed clothes. Washed windows & storm windows in living room. Children cleaned. Stan worked. Went to store. Took Greg to get x-rays for foot. Negative.

Sun – Rain. Went to UU service. Stan & Dave put plastic over garage. Fixed roast & cake. Carol went to see “Funny Girl”. Stan went in to see Pap.

Mon – School. Frank missed bus. Stan took him to H.S. Packed lunches. Washed clothes. Went to K-Mart. Stan went bowling. Played cards.

Tue – School. Covered dining room chairs & table. Cleaned out china closet. Stan & I went to school meeting.
