1974

Mon – School. Stapled kids lunch money. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Cleaned car windows. Made banana cream pie. Bill H. stopped out. Watched TV. Crocheted. Thunderstorm.

Tue – School. Took Ivan to dental clinic. Met Elaine’s Don. Brought Elaine home. Stopped at store. Went to Claber’s. Elaine took Greg & got milk. Carol & Jim came. We went looking at drapery material.

Wed- School. Called Marion. Took shower. Straightened. Took Harry to dental clinic. Waited for Elaine (too late to go to Dr. Siegel). Home late. Rain storm.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Called Eleanor. Grace & Elaine called. Washed car. Called Daily News about PTO meeting. Bill changed oil on Plymouth. Visited Mrs. Iames.

Fri – School. Went to store. Made cake. Cleaned kitchen & living room. Duq. Light put transformer on pole. Kids got report cards. Turned cold. Dave went to State College in Chrysler.

Sat – Stan went shopping for Hydro supplies. Washed clothes. Both went to dentist. Fixed early supper. Stan & I sent to Carol’s. Drove to her new house. Measured windows.

Sun – Slept late. Cool. No Sunday paper. Bill took kids to practice & Julie to birthday party (Collette Cassinelli). Stan worked at shop. Called Mary & Elaine. Watched TV.

1975

Tue – School. Went to town about food stamps. Went shopping. Picked up Ivan. Went to Pitt Dental clinic. Home. Made lasagna. Sprayed prune stuff on trees.

Wed – School. Nice day. Went to bank & store. Worked outside. Eleanor came out. Visited. Called Helen about Cas. Went to school. Marion called about helping her mother.

Thu – School. Snow flurries & wind. Washed clothes. Mended. Baked cake with peanut butter icing. Took Ivan & Julie to store. Got things for Elaine’s birthday. Carol called.

Fri – School. Sent Frank to look for job. Made Elaine’s pot holders & apron. Julie went to birthday party at Collette’s. Typed versus for Elaine’s 21^st birthday.

Sat – Stan took Greg for SAT test. Cold. Called about books about Asimov. Washed clothes. Cleaned kitchen, bath, living room, etc. Took Harry to practice (cancelled). Went to store. Left house. Met Elaine & Dottie Went to Steak House.

Sun – Had bad sleep. Read paper. Stan went to shop. Made banana cream pie. Kids finished movie film. Worked on CL. Tech journals. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Greg home. Washed clothes. Drove Frank to get bus (to look for job). Swept & mopped cellar. Changed sheets. Went to store. Marion called. Took Greg & Julie to Oakland library. Stopped at Hornes.

1976

Thu – School. Colder. Went to work. Stan’s car wouldn’t start. Ivan fixed supper. Got Stan. Marion called.

Fri – School. Worked. Went to Jean’s for lunch. Stan went to see about food stamps. Fixed quick supper. Frank cleaned. Went to bank (food stamps) & store.

Sat – Nice day. Washed clothes. Harry drove to Siegel’s to get glasses. (He & Greg). Made soup & Ham Bar BQ. Went to Murphy Mart. Ripped out Harry’s sweater again.

Sun – Baked cake. Made meat loaf & fried chicken. Carol came – had lunch & visited. Kids got baths. Put up Julie’s hair. Knitted & watched TV.

Mon – School. Worked. Frank washed 2 loads & swept & mopped. Robin Hatfield came back to work. Tired. Dave cooked.

Tue – School. Worked at T’s. Greg drove to play practice. Stopped at store. Heated meat loaf & potatoes. Marion called.

Wed – School. Worked at T. Washed 2 loads of clothes. Fixed potatoes for tomorrow. Robin, Bruce H & Bill came out. Had new car. Dave had made chop suey & fruit dumplings. Frank cut grass.

1977

Fri – School. Cleaned house. Went to store & K-Mart. Made stew. Greg home late & Harry had game. Washed clothes in evening.

Sat – Rain. Spent day cleaning & sorting things in Julie’s room. Had 5 bags of stuff + 3 of rubbish. Kids played Lego. Julie got “Shrink-e-dinks”. Watched Carol Burnett special.

Sun – Up early. Did a load of clothes. Crocheted sleeves to Elaine’s top. Took clothes to Salvation Army thing & went to store. Made banana cream dessert & lemon chicken. Dave came for supper.

Mon – School. Washed clothes (4 big loads). Called Mary. Swept & mopped. Went to store. Changed sheets. Frank & Dave came. Both ate. Watched “American Families” on TV.

Tue – School. Marion called. Made spaghetti sauce. Greg home – tired. Took Ivan to Pitt Dental school. Went to store & Operatunity Shop. Sewed Elaine’s top together.

Wed – School. Marion called. Finished Elaine’s top. Made stuffing & fixed turkey. Changed to Electric Roaster. Metropolitan Ins. Man came. Stan started work on hall floor.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Stan varnished hall. Went to store. Made Russian torte. Rain & cold. Dave stopped for supper. Harry brought girlfriend here. They played ping pong. Watched “Upstairs, Downstairs”.

1978

Sat – Nice but windy. Stan went to work. Harry had double header. Julie had oboe lesson. Went to bank, milk store & store. Made chop suey. Bill & Carolyn came. Washed clothes.

Sun – Cooler. Read paper. Called Marion. Baked cake & pork roast. Fellows cleaned out sewage & back filled. Kids cleaned cars. Went to Iames to hear Julie play.

Mon – School. Rain. Washed clothes. Got call from school. Ivan cut finger. Greg brought car from work. Took Ivan to Jefferson Center. Changed sheets. Called Marion & Mary. Bill & Carolyn came. Left BMW.

Tue – School. Stan went to West Virginia. Took Julie to Pitt Dental. Ate at Hardees. Went to store & milk store. Made baked beans & hamburgers. Rain. Went to Murphy’s Mart. Bill & Carolyn came to get car (BMW).

Wed – School. Wrote brother Bill. Frank went to town to see about Tech school. Made cream puffs. Called Marion. Bill came with LeCar. Julie & I went to see Mrs. Lorenzi at Jefferson.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Called Mrs. O. Cut out top. Had steak & fr. fries. Sewed – had to change needle. Watched TV.

Fri – School. Sewed new top for me. Cleaned house. Beautiful day. Mr. McCall called. Stan, Julie & I went to Carol’s house. She worked on tax forms. Home late.
