August 20 - 26, 1969-1973

1969

Wed- Washed clothes. Sewed Elaine’s pant skirt & jacket. Ironed. Stan went in to get Carol. Worked on dirt around walk in front.

Thu – Painted shelves in cellar & planter. Wendy came over. Dave & I worked on side yard. Stan went bowling. Went to K-Mart.

Fri – Carol took car. Dave drove Stan to work. Took Mrs. Iames to Oakland for brace. Stopped at Dad’s. Went to store. Kids cleaned. Carol drove Mike to Carol J’s. Car got side-swiped. Wendy & sister came for movies.

Sat – Washed clothes. Carol went to dentist. Ivan, Harry & Frank went to Kennywood with Benack’s. Painted hammock bars. Finished Elaine’s jacket & skirt. Cut out pants dress.

Sun – Worked on jars. Carol drove Mickey to airport. Baked cake for Dave’s anniversary. Dave took car to ballgame. Pirates 9 – Cinn 4. Weeded. Sewed Elaine’s dress.

Mon – Washed clothes. Swept cellar. Stan & Dave worked on framing. Hot day. Went to store. Made chicken macaroni salad. Carol took car to work. Had final exam.

Tue – Carol worked in morning. Made galumpkies. Took Carol to Dr. Pollock (3 teeth removed). Stan worked on framing. Dave dug for curb. Cut boys hair. Washed hair & baths.

1970

Thu – Rain. Colonnas drilled to mine. Carol took car. Washed clothes. Ironed. Straightened house. Gave boys haircuts. Knitted. Stan came home (taxi). Frank went to Southland with boys (home late).

Fri – Beautiful day. Went to store. Dave went to Dr. Siegel. Gave Frank haircut. Made lemon frappe (creame). Had pork roast. Knitted Kids watched TV.

Sat – Washed clothes. Made Namanimo cookies. Stan worked in morning. Got dirt for front. Dave, Julie, Ivan, Stan & I went to Dad’s to see movies. Stan stopped at Pap’s. Heavy rain. Garage flooded.

Sun – Up early. Baked cake for Dave’s anniversary. Read paper. Went to Haines. Had pork roast. Kids played football. John V. , Danny C. and Frank slept out.

Mon – Washed clothes. Canned tomatoes. Changed sheets. Carol on vacation. Took car – Dr. Siegel. Stan worked late. Stan ate supper out. Weeded. Greg Kiel. Came. Played football. Family watched TV.

Tue – Nice day. Weeded front. Knitted. Kids cut grass. Stan home late for supper. Dave & I worked on front. Put in aluminum stripping. Carol took Ivan & Julie visiting. Elaine went to Andrea’s.

Wed – Went to store. Carol went shopping, too. Wrote Bill. Elaine straightened up. Andrea came. Greg played football. Carol had surprise party for Greg.

1971

Fri – Kids cleaned. Went to store. Went to Eastland. Got Julie’s material. Went to Clabers. Had spaghetti. Dave drove Bruce home.

Sat – Stan went to Greensburgh (Pappy’s). Washed clothes. Got kids cleaned up. Went to Jane’s graduation party. Nice. Went to Odd Chair Playhouse & saw “Cabaret”. Went to Whiteheads for party.

Sun – Slept late. Made french toast. Cut out Julie’s dress. Elaine went to Andrea’s. Dave worked. Straightened house. Tusha & Bill Collier came out. Visited. Had nice time.

Mon – Washed clothes. Folded & ironed. Made beds. Stan got mail. Stella & Bill stopped out.

Tue – Julie had swollen jaw. Stan took her to clinic. Tooth pulled. Sewed Julie’s dress. Made apple pies. Stan had dinner date with Sam. Answer unknown. Mopped cellar.

Wed – Stan went to Herb Berkman’s. Took Frank to Dr. in afternoon. Cleaned kids drawers. Washed. Elaine & Dave called to work. Went to store.

Thu – Washed clothes. Folded & ironed. Took Elaine to work Weeded. Went to Ambrofinos for Amway Soap demonstration. Home late.

1972

Sun – Stan worked on ditch. Plumber came. Read paper. Cleaned up. Stan & I went to Carol’s. Had a nice dinner. Stan got birthday slacks.

Mon – Washed clothes. Ironed & mended. Straightened house. Frank had 1^st day football. Kids & us went with John Collins & family to Blue Flame for dinner. Came back to house.

Tue – Regina called. Called bank. Washed 1 load clothes. Swept cellar. Greg mopped. Elaine took kids to Sough Park swimming. Worked on dirt in back & weeds in front.

Wed – Hot. Went to Murphy Mart, McKeesport. Exchanged (took back) coffee pot. Went to dairy. Cut out slip & dress for Julie. Worked on dirt. John Marks came. Sewed. Wrote name in new tele. book.

Thu – Washed clothes. Went to WPNB (McKeesport) for loan forms signed. Finished Julie’s dress.

Fri – Cleaned house. Kids helped. Started to work puzzle. Fixed tomatoes. Continued on puzzle.

Sat – Finished puzzle. Went to airport to get David. Stan worked on Elaine’s gas tank. Washed clothes. Fixed dirt. Went to dairy.

1973

Mon – Frank started football. Julie went to Bible School with Mrs. McGee. Stan went to Eye & Ear Hosp. (out patient). Washed clothes. Swept & mopped. Started Elaine’s smock.

Tue – Julie went to Bible school. Stan went to work. Straightened house. Sewed. Went to K-Mart & store. Rain.

Wed – Took kids to dental clinic X-rays. Got ticket. Took Ivan for glasses exam. Made spaghetti. Went to McKeesport for Dave. Stopped at store. Picked & fixed apples. Finished Elaine’s smock.

Thu – Stan home on vacation. Washed clothes. Made apple pies. Dave worked 3 to 9. Weeded back.

Fri – Stan went to Dr. (not in – had to go back). Kids cleaned. Made cream pie. Canned tomatoes. Went to store. Dave went to work. Chopped things for salad. Washed Frank’s football things.

Sat – Slept late. Washed clothes. Ironed. Cleaned kitchen & baths. Stan worked at shop. Ivan cut front grass. Chopped pepper for meat load.

Sun – Hot. Made meat loaf. Fixed potatoes. Julie, Ivan & I went swimming (Clairton). Tired. Read paper.
