1969

Wed- School. Kids out early. Went to store & bank. Baked pumpkin pies. Kids made popcorn and took it over to Mrs. Iames. Bill H. & boys came out later.

Thu – Fixed turkey & trimmings. Kids cleaned house. Pap came for supper. Bill called. Carol made cookies. Played cards. Had X-mas drawing.

Fri – No school. Washed clothes. Took Frank, Greg & Ivan to Monroeville (Children’s Palace). Then went to Kroger’s & Kresges. Stan & Dave went bowling. Had late supper. Watched TV.

Sat – Went to Top Value & K-Mart. Sewed Carol’s nightgown. Stan went to dentist to pick up teeth. Dad came out. Went to Haines & Sears. Frank went to Frankie Hinkle’s for overnight.

Sun – Up early. Addressed Christmas. Read paper. Stan picked Frank up. Carol had date. Fixed Elaine’s green jumper. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Carol late – took car. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Ironed. Took Greg to dentist. Went to Sears & Acme.

Tue – School. Carol had car. Addressed Christmas cards. Cut out Wendy’s nightgown. Called Mrs. Morris. Went to Foodland & K-Mart.

1970

Thu – Up early. Fixed turkey. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Went to Park Lodge for UU Thanksgiving. Stan home sick. Wendy & Bill stopped over. Had X-mas drawing.

Fri – No school. Took kids to Santa – came by helicopter. Greg, Harry & Ivan walked home. Went shopping. Rested. Went to store. Elaine went to McKeesport with Andrea. Bill H. & kids came out.

Sat – Washed clothes. Stan went to Dr. Cohen. Ironed & folded. Dave went to South Hills Village. Took Greg to Southland for gift exchange.

Sun – Made apple dessert. Stuffed turkey. Read paper. Carol’s Greg came out. Put up X-mas lights. Rain. Got fed up. Stan finished supper. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Stan home (vacation). Washed clothes. Folded & ironed. Lightly mopped cellar. Went to store.

Tue – School. Wrapped X-mas presents. Took over Iames. Bill burned rubbish. Cleaned house. Went to Bartolattos & K-mart. Laura Dee called.

Wed – School. Up early. Fixed coupons. Packed kids lunches. Julie & I went to Murphy Mart & South Hills Village. Stopped at TV Stamps. Elaine helped fix spaghetti. Cut out Carol’s pants suit.

1971

Fri – No school. Had kids do cleaning. Washed clothes. Took Ivan for gift exchange & shopping. Later took Julie shopping. Elaine went to see “Emerson, Lake & Palmer”.

Sat – Made big breakfast. Got ready for football game. Julie went to Aunt Helen’s. Kiski 16 – TJ 8. Went to Feed Bag. Stan, Harry, Bill, Frank, Elaine got sick.

Sun – Stan sick. Made soup. Baked cake. Made jello salad. Jim stopped out with books & typewriter. Read paper & watched TV. Elaine went to LRY.

Mon – School. Stan home sick. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Went shopping. Took Harry shopping in evening for gift exchange. Bill H. came out. Played tape & showed pictures of trip.

Tue – School. Frank home sick. Wrapped X-mas presents. Stan called. Wouldn’t be home til late. Elaine went to bookmobile & store.

Wed – Frank home again. Washed clothes. Got call for witness duty. Took taxi to town ($6.75). Just reviewed case. Frank started supper. Went to store. Fixed spaghetti sauce.

Thu – School. Up early. Pavlik & Renich took me to town. Witness for Caldwell case. Met Carol for lunch. Went to Oakland. Met Dave & Fr. at Dr. Briol’s. (Saw Mark Ryan).

1972

Sun – Slept late. Read paper. Called Marion. Stan & Bill took apart machine & made swivel anvil. Watched “Colombo”. Crocheted.

Mon – No school. Put clothes on to wash. Went to town. Sleet. No room in parking lots. Drove to Hatfield’s, took streetcar. Met Carol. Got piggy & other gifts. Got me shoes. Went to store. Bill H. came out.

Tue – School. Washed clothes. Swept and mopped cellar. Harry home sick. Ironed. Made apple dessert. Fr. & Bill went to shop. Elaine got job Called Helen & Dad.

Wed – School. Cut out & sewed Elaine’s dress. Washed hair. Baked pumpkin cookies. Elaine started work at Pincheras. Frank & Bill went to shop. Went to store.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Sewed Elaine’s dress & bikini pants. Datsun over-heated. Stan took my car. Went to dairy & K-Mart. Snow. Towed Datsun to shop.

Fri – School. Elaine didn’t go to school Snow. Put snow tires on. Bill worked on Datsun. Baked cookies for Linda’s wedding. Cleaned kitchen. Carol & Jim stopped out.

Sat – Washed clothes. Went to Eastland. Stan & Bill worked on Datsun. Got ready for wedding. Dave not going (hung over)> Saw wedding. Stopped at Dads. Stan brought others in to reception (Linda & Jack’s).

1973

Mon – Kids & Stan home. Washed clothes. Eleanor came out. She & I went to store. Took Harry for bike parts. Car boiled over. Kids played football.

Tue – School. Washed clothes. Swept cellar. Dave mopped. Couldn’t get car started. Mr. Iames put battery charger on. Got new terminal. Dave got eye exam. Played cards.

Wed – School. Made pumpkin cookies. Dave took kids to dentist. Car overheats. Made chop suey. TV konked out.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Dave hitch-hiked to Pgh. Started to clean kitchen cupboards. Phone out of order. Went to bank & store. Played cards.

Fri – School. Didn’t win fantasy contest. Cleaned living room & bedroom. Cleaned kitchen cupboards. Bill H. stopped out. Finished Elaine’s afghan. Stan home late. Shuback fixed TV.

Sat – Bill went to Dr. Had piece taken from eye. Stan went to Dr. for foot. Washed clothes. Car wouldn’t start. Julie baked cake.

Sun – Nice day. Stan took me to store. Got order. Made cake icing. Dan Arico came with game “Administration”. Kids got baths. Watched 2^nd part of “True Story of Frankenstein”.
