1969

Wed- School. Greg stayed home. Sewed. Made out Christmas order. Went to K-Mart.

Thu – School. Poured concrete for steps. Washed clothes. Baked cake. Folded & ironed. Stan went bowling. Went to store. Stan had accident on way to work.

Fri – School. Sick with virus. Sewed Elaine’s blouse. Finished Julie’s hat. Carol went to Theil for weekend. Stan went to airport to pick up stereo. Drove Mrs. Iames to hospital. Julie sick.

Sat – Washed clothes. Took Ivan shopping for birthday. Stan went bowling. Set up Bill’s stereo. Sewer came up. Got letter from Bill. Answered it.

Sun – Stan dug up sewer. Pipe not broken. Cleaned windows in living room & washed drapes. Wrote letters. Carol came home from Theil. Kids got baths.

Mon – School. Frank, Stan, Ivan home sick. Harry home half day. Washed clothes. Made rolls & apron for bazaar. Went to Valley PTA open house & bazaar. Went to H. School to see D & E teachers.

Tue – School. Elaine & Stan home. Got Frank from school. Ironed. Sewed front drapes together. Fixed Ivan’s cake. Got roller skates, dart board, shoes, trousers. Went to Bookmobile.

1970

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Made cookies & cinnamon rolls. Waited for bed springs (didn’t come). Rested. Frank went with Bill. Stan went to Dr. again.

Fri – School. Stan home sick. Went to store. Rested. Dave took Harry to Dr. Siegels. Frank went to TJ Bonfire. Cleaned kitchen. Made ice tea & juice.

Sat – Washed clothes. Knitted. Stan went to Dr. Dave took SAT test. Took Ivan shopping for Birthday presents.

Sun – Slept late. Nice day. Read paper. Worked on front weeds. Elaine walked to Andrea’s. Finished Julie’s yellow sweater. Kids got baths.

Mon – Washed clothes. Burned rubbish. Changed sheets. Redid neck on Julie’s sweater. Went to store. Carol home from school early.

Tue – School. Made rolls & beef & beans. Made egg custard. Took Elaine shopping for shirt – bought material. Bill brought home stereo & encyclopedias (broke up with Wendy).

Wed – No school. Veterans Day. Baked cake. Sewed Elaine’s skirts. Took pictures of Ivan opening presents. He got pocket watch, roller skates & toys. Sewed E white blouse. Noisy.

1971

Fri – School. Tried to sew. Machine wouldn’t work right. Stan worked on it. Carol called. Started on cushion. Frank & Bill went to ball game TJ 30 – Charleroi 8.

Sat – Up early. Went to post office. Elaine took SAT test, then went to town. Washed clothes. Went to store. Read magazines. Made soup & brownies. Called Helen.

Sun – Read paper. Sewed Carol’s cushion. One done. Read magazines. Kids got baths. Dave & Elaine went to LRY.

Mon – School. Heavy frost. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Changed sheets. Went to store. Made spaghetti. Andrea came for supper. Stan went bowling. Ivan had scouts. Fixed kitchen curtains.

Tue – School. Sewed Carol’s cushions & made round throw cushions. Gathered clothes & books. Drove to Carol’s. Elaine & Harry went, too. Got subpoenaed for accident on 51 (witness).

Wed – School. Read story. Stan signed up & got food coupons. I went to bank & put turkey coupons in stores. Went to Foodland. Played pinochle. Harry won.

Thu – School. Baked cake. Washed clothes. Went to Bartolottas. Had chicken & French fries. Ivan got gum, play dough, car & yo-yo. Stan fixed up blue bike (new seat, etc.)

1972

Sun – Back to shop. Greg & Harry put up X-mas lights. Went to store. Elaine worked. Bill H. for supper. Went back to shop. Typed invoices. Called Regina & Carol.

Mon – School. Stan home. Datsun wouldn’t start. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Straightened house. Mixed dough for lady locks.

Tue – School. Went to school to vote. Baked lady locks. Made stew & apple sauce. Elaine brought Cathy for supper. Went to PTA Bake sale. Rain. Dave, Elaine & others went to “Yes” concert.

Wed – School. Packed kids lunch. Had PTA Board meeting. Brought home art papers to mount. Regina & Larry came to discuss play. Stan home early. Went to store.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Ironed. Made 2 apple pies & blueberry. Made potato soup. Ate early. Bill & Frank worked at shop.

Fri – School. Cleaned upstairs bathroom, living room & kitchen. Called Stella. Crocheted. Elaine went on rally (LRY).

Sat – Had new bike sitting out for Ivan’s birthday. Kids cleaned. Washed clothes. Went to store. Frank went with Dave Conk. To Calif. Pa. Had cake with trick candles. Carol & Jim stopped.

1973

Mon – School. Washed clothes. Swept & mopped cellar. Went to Nancy Sajna’s Merri Mac party. Bruce H. came. Mixed cookies. Bill H. came. Stayed for supper. Carol called.

Tue – School. Took Ivan to dental clinic. Picked up Elaine. Went to store. Voted. Baked pumpkin cookies & apple pie. Bill took Elaine back. Bed early.

Wed – School. Straightened house. Eleanor called. Took Julie & Greg to dentist. Home late. Fixed steak, baked beans. Washed hair. Stan went to TJ Booster Smoker. Didn’t go to Middle School Open House.

Thu – School. Washed clothes. Carol came for lunch. Straightened house. Went to store.

Fri – School. Cleaned stove and refrigerator. Carol came for lunch. Cleaned kitchen. Went to dairy. Bill picked up truck. Crocheted. (Mt Lebanon 20 – Ringold 0) Buildt fire.

Sat – Washed clothes (water softener trouble) Cleaned living room. Took Ivan & Julie to Grants – got black fish. Had birthday cake. Ivan got trousers, shirt & pj’s. Electricity off 1 hr. Carol & Jim stopped. Brought meat.

Sun – Read paper. Went to Carol’s Ivan & Julie, too. Took them to birthday dinner at Howard Johnstons. Watched TV. Dan Erico came. Kids got baths.
